  We arrived at 11 pm for check in . Only had stop for overnight. I moved the blanket on the bed to go for sleep, under the sheet was full of different pills 💊 and capsules!! I traveled with my wife and 7 years old child. Imagine you see something like that when you want to go to sleep. In the morning I went for shower , no body wash!! Breakfast was horrible. I mentioned those in the morning while I was checking out the guy was just looked at me and he didn’t say anything. Unbelievable!! Do not waste your money to go to this place. There are other places around this property which I should have chosen. I’m wondering why Expedia selling their rooms. Very disappointed.😔

  We were looking to gift a special wedding night get away for our friends who were getting married at Beardslee Castle and looking for places in Utica. We saw this hotel and decided to call and ask how it would work for us to do this since we weren't sure if we could do this without the reservation being in the couple's name and instead in ours. We called the hotel directly and spoke with Alexandra/ Alex about our surprise for our friends. We asked her if it would be possible for us to bring snacks and decorations for the room ahead of time when we drove by going to Rehearsal. She said that it was and was so incredibly helpful,friendly and offered exceptional customer service which we truly value and appreciate! We looked around at a few other options,but we just kept thinking about how nice Alexandra was on the phone and decided to call back and book the room. Alexandra remembered us and what we wanted to do. She was so excited to hear back from us and we told her that we decided to choose the hotel because of the Exceptional and Exemplary Customer service she had given to us. She worked so well with us and not only allowed us to come in to bring in our credit card so it would be on file for incidentals, but also happily accepted the bag of surprises that we put together for our friends. We didn't have flowers so she told us her beautiful vision of decorating the wedding night room for the newlyweds, and how she wanted so much to make it extra special for them and also for us! We were so excited and couldn't wait for our friends to arrive and see! Alexandra and team transformed the hotel room into the most Beautiful Wedding night suite Paradise! She even made Beautiful swan towels and Exquisite flower designs on the bed and even added a very heart felt and so thoughtful sign for the happy newlyweds! When we saw the pictures of it, it brought us back to our honeymoon in Jamaica! Alexandra brought that honeymoon get away feeling to the hotel room and provided a peaceful, tranquil, and so romantic wedding night for our newlywed friends! She went above and beyond what we ever expected, and we are so thankful to her for doing this! Alexandra is truly one of a kind and deserves the highest praise! She is the most Wonderful customer service provider! Thank you so much Alexandra! :)

  Front desk staff ladies are awesome 👌 housekeeping was great to attending rooms and cleaning all coming areas.Breafast everyday 😀 was great and dont doesn't the prime location ans prices were not bad. Overall great experience will definitely be referring friend amd family to BW to stay. Thanks lol I need my visa card now. 2 actually

  Front desk was extremely professional however the room they gave me had a clogged toilet upon check in and the room smelled like septic. Floors were dirty and it’s winter time here the heater was off . I went back to front desk showed her photos she apologized and stayed professional. Gave me another room however when I asked for a name of the supervisor that inspected this room she refused to give me the name like she was shared for her life as someone would retilate. She said she couldn’t give me a name and for me to ask for a manager the next day . The second room she gave me once again it’s winter time here in Utica the heater was off and the room was FREEZING! For the amount I paid I could have went to a nother hotel for half the price as these rooms are out dated extremely.

  I agree with Chrissy’s review as we had a similar experience. After checking into the Best Western Utica on one of the coldest nights of the winter, we discovered our room had no heat. When we asked about changing rooms we were told the only other available rooms also had no heat. We had no choice but to leave and find another hotel. When we brought the keys back to the front desk we were told there would be no refund. If there is no heat and another room is not available, we should have been reimbursed. Instead, management refused to reimburse us even though no alternative room could be provided. I would never recommend this hotel. It is far below the Best Western brand and is very sketchy in their refund policy.
