We were pleasantly surprised by the Hilton Garden Inn on Staten Island. The room was clean and roomy. The service was great and the Italian Restaurant was top notch! The food was excellent and the music in the dining room made dinner so pleasant. The owners walked around the dining room both nights making diners feel right at home.

I didn't win the genetic lottery and am also a glutton. No one to blame but myself and my rosary of vices. Ugh these rooms are super clean and worthy of being ran through by unfaithfully beautiful people. I recommend this hotel. One day I'll get my life back in order. Smile for me and your pretty life.

Me and my wife booked a day here for Valentine's Day, we intended for a simple little relaxing night. The hotel has gone massively downhill from the last time I stayed here. The room had a crappy little TV that was basically static for half the night. It had no ability for streaming, only cable which barely worked, or you can rent a movie for $25. The room service at some point was changed to be connected to Lorenzo's, which is a good restaurant, but when you're trying to just order room service you don't want to have to spend $100 on two burgers and two lava cakes, And those were the cheap options. The menu is far too upscale for basic room service. In the morning the breakfast buffet was mediocre, which is not what you're hoping to say when you spend $200 for a night, and the breakfast buffets and other $40 on top of that. The tub had a massive leak and anytime The shower was running the bathroom floor would get soaked. The parking lot was jam-packed for an event apparently, but at no point while booking, nor beforehand was I notified of an event, so it took me about a half an hour to find a parking spot, and valet was no longer accepting vehicles. The only positive thing I can think of was the service which was not bad. If you want my opinion, spend an extra 10-50 bucks and rent a room in Atlantic City or something if your intention is for a getaway. If you're staying here because you traveled into Staten Island I would just keep your expectations low
