This gentleman saved my life! My rental stopped working and he helped me out! He works the breakfast, and when I asked for help he told his coworker, put a jacket on and help me start the car. Please give him a shoutout, he was the kindest human 🫶🏼

I was sent on an undercover assignment as Cedric from God The Father. He wanted me to expose this hotel. I truly did not understand why smh but now I do. He hates pride and haughty affairs. They don't return incidentals $500 worth, my room was unkempt with urine in the shower. Old cold stale coffee... Dog urine on carpet...One representative apologized but management said no refund. Knowing my friend was placed on life support and still did not care. That's abuse and for slamming me around per Jesus He's going to curse the establishment. Thus Saith The Lord God. Before I do a new thing I reveal it to you first. In 3 years nobody will care about Hampton Inn. Just like a fig tree withers so shall this hotel. Do into others as you have them do into you. Thank you for your services. Next assignment. Per Jesus keep the money all of it and buy a Bible and manners Happy Holidays

The hotel was very festive during our stay, which we loved. They had large nutcrackers at the entrance, multiple Christmas trees, garlands with twinkle lights, and even a menorah. The staff was extremely friendly, especially Rosa, who noticed me admiring the decorations and recommended checking out the nearby Hilton Garden Inn for its larger Christmas tree and yummy restaurant. She said the food was good and it’s conveniently close. Our initial room was a handicap-accessible room on the first floor, but it smelled strongly of smoke and showed significant wear, with stains on the walls and peeling wallpaper in the bathroom. We were able to move to a regular room on the third floor, which was a huge improvement—clean, comfortable, smoke-free, and with very comfortable beds. Breakfast was included and offered a standard continental selection with pastries, bagels, fruit, cereal, waffles, and yogurt. Overall, the hotel is a good value for the area, though any savings may be offset by tolls or parking if traveling into the city. Parking for the Staten Island Ferry was $28 per day, and tolls added up quickly.

This was, without exaggeration, one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Calling this place a “Hampton Inn” is misleading and frankly insulting to the brand. The breakfast situation is a joke. The area is so small that it turns into chaos. To grab even one item, you’re forced to wait in an unnecessarily long line. Nothing is refilled unless you actively beg staff to do their job. There is zero planning, zero efficiency, and zero care for guests’ time. Then there’s the coffee — or lack of it. Every other hotel understands that coffee is a basic courtesy available throughout the day. Not here. By evening, most coffee containers are empty, abandoned, and clearly ignored by staff. It feels like the hotel simply stops functioning after breakfast hours. But the absolute low point was the front desk behavior, which crossed from incompetence into outright disrespect. Late-night entry requires swiping a card, yet there is no clear signage or instruction on how to do this. While standing outside, I showed my room key through the glass to the attendant. Instead of opening the door or offering help, the staff member stood there with a smug, mocking smile and refused to assist. It was humiliating, unprofessional, and borderline hostile. The front desk staff were rude, dismissive, and clearly uninterested in helping guests. This wasn’t a misunderstanding — it was deliberate indifference and poor attitude. This hotel fails at the basics: service, hospitality, respect, and professionalism. If Hampton Inn has any standards left, this location should be audited immediately. Avoid this place at all costs unless you enjoy being treated like an inconvenience instead of a paying guest.
