  Rooms are spotless staff is very helpful lake placid just down the road great atmosphere flower lake across the street along with liquor store prices are fair I wouldn't listen to Karyn little probably pissed she couldn't get in her overrated high priced hotel the staff here work very hard keeping the hotel going I ve been staying every week for 3 months no problem and very well kept great place to stay in door pool is open this place is always full

  Stayed at hotel there was someone else's left over food in the fridge the beds wer shot when you got on them they would sink to the floor . The bathroom door had a big curve spot cut out of it so it would clear the toilet when you shut it. And the breakfast was lacking and there was no place to sit like there use to be!

  Be advised: this hotel is listed as cat-friendly. I called to see how much the fee would be, as I have a old cat I can't leave home. I was quoted a fee and then told they did not allow cats. It's a good thing I asked questions and did not just take them on their word and show up. I would have nowhere to stay.

  My worst hotel stay ever. The only good thing was the friendly front desk clerk. I got to the hotel late after visiting Whiteface Mountain since I didn’t want to drive 4.5 hours home. Everything else was booked, so I paid $260 for one night in a pet-friendly room. I’ve never seen anything like it. The carpet was dirty with bits of plastic wrap everywhere. The armchair was gross and stained, and the coffee maker looked rotten. Super disgusting. The beds were okay, and the bathroom was just mediocre; you couldn’t shower without making a mess. I took my toddler to the pool, but it was freezing cold, even though it was supposed to be heated, and it smelled super strong of bleach. My husband asked the front desk about it, and she insisted it was heated. I called the front desk to complain about the room. They offered to switch my room or give me a different seat, but I turned it down since I was only there for one night. They also mentioned talking to the owners about a discount, but I haven’t heard anything back yet.

  I booked this room when everything else was way overpriced. I was nervous after reading reviews but it was great. Staff was friendly and hard working. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. It seemed recently remodeled (room 212), looked much better than online pics. Definitely recommend.
