This hotel is unsafe! Please avoid. We have a student at LIU Post who was in a show this weekend. We traveled from Virginia and stayed here. This morning at 5:30 a.m. a woman who very much looked as if she were on Meth banged on our door screaming for us to be quiet. We tried to have someone from the hotel provide us with security. No one came. We decided to leave ASAP, packed quickly and left. She was waiting for us in the lobby, twitching, to confront us again, then realized that we were not the people she was looking for. It seemed like she lived at the hotel. The one employee behind the desk just shrugged. There was absolutely no security – lots of sketchy men hanging around with no purpose the night before. We couldn't get out of there fast enough. A simply disgusting building. I will also be posting about this on the LIU Parent's Pages.
This was one of the most uncomfortable hotel stays I’ve had. The room was extremely small, and there were many questionable individuals staying at the hotel, which made the environment feel unsafe. I strongly suspect the hotel is being used for temporary housing. Had I been able to rebook elsewhere, I would have left that night.
A Masterclass in Incompetence.
I didn’t know a hotel could actively sabotage a wedding until I dealt with Best Western Roslyn. This place turned my room block into a months-long clown show, and every time they tried to fix something, it somehow got dumber.
Their excuse was a “system transition,” which apparently wiped out not only their reservations but also every ounce of common sense in the building. My guests followed the hotel’s exact instructions — instructions given by their own managers — and when the hotel inevitably screwed it up, they blamed my guests like they were the problem.
No, the problem is your staff, who can’t operate a booking system that literally does half the work for them.
Then came the grand finale that deserves its own trophy:
They double-charged me AND my photographer for the same room on two separate cards.
When confronted, they basically said “not our problem” and tried to pin the mess on us — even though the photographer had a completely different bill from them.
I escalated this all the way to corporate. Months later? Another limp apology with zero accountability, like they copy-pasted it from the “we messed up again” folder.
This hotel is a disaster. They blame the customers, mishandle reservations, and double-charge people like we wouldn’t notice. If you want chaos, confusion, and financial roulette, stay here. If not? Literally pick any other hotel — even a shack with a leaky roof would be a step up.
BED BUGS!!!!! DO NOT STAY HERE. My team was staying here for a work trip when two of my employees found bed bugs in their bed and were covered in bites!!! The employee on the night shift was brand new, and he texted his supervisor about the situation to try to find a solution. The supervisor refused to help or speak with me and told me I had to wait until the morning to speak with anyone. Literally a nightmare, our work event is ruined, and I'll be out hundreds of dollars for having to Uber my team back to the city, have my car treated, and everything else that will follow from this experience.
Our experience with this hotel was extremely disappointing from start to finish. We reserved a room block for our wedding on October 3, 2025, and encountered issue after issue throughout the entire process.
There was constant confusion when guests tried to book under our room block — many were incorrectly placed under regular reservations instead, and when they tried to clarify, the staff was often rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. It became so frustrating that we eventually had to escalate the issue to corporate to get any sort of resolution.
We were repeatedly told our room block was full when it wasn’t, simply because the staff confused it with general availability. Several guests were charged for incorrect dates, double-charged, or never received confirmation emails at all — something we had to personally demand multiple times just to ensure bookings were secure.
To make matters worse, my own card was charged for a night I never authorized, and when I contacted the hotel about it, they refused to take accountability, insisting the charge was “closed” and I would need to resolve it myself.
Overall, the lack of professionalism, communication, and accountability made what should have been a simple, joyful experience incredibly stressful for us and our guests. I would strongly caution anyone planning a wedding or event to look elsewhere — this location made what should have been one of the easiest parts of wedding planning one of the most frustrating.
