  This place has the worst customer service and also I dont even smoke cigarettes but I got kicked out at 1 o'clock in the morning because they said I was smoking.

  Upon arrival, I requested late checkout the next day as I had arrived very late into the night. All the Diamond Elite parking spots were taken up by non-members and the staff refused to enforce it, saying "people can just park wherever." I said I was willing to pay for it. The front desk staff working the night shift assured me that he has granted me a late checkout for 1 p.m the next day. However, in the morning, I received a call from the front desk asking me to vacate. When I told her that I had requested a late checkout last night and the front desk employee granted it, she said there was no such record. I once again explained I was willing to pay for late checkout, and the front desk granted permission to stay until 12 p.m. Still, housekeeping barged in multiple times, and I eventually just left. The rooms are in not that great of a condition compared to other IHG properties in Rochester. The hallways are very loud and reek. Definitely consider the newer Holiday Inn locations like the one in Irondequoit, U of R, or even Victor.

  Rooms need work. Bits of the paint from the ceiling were falling off onto one of the beds, and the seal on the AC/Heat unit was shot to the point I could both hear and feel the wind gusting in. The shower was also leaking water from various pieces of the piping like some fairly run down apartments I’ve been in. Got the distinct impression that while the room appeared to look nice, all of the work was just to gloss over the issues. A nice facade painted over an older building. I understand you guys need to make a profit but it shouldn’t come at the expense of my comfort. Lastly, the guy running the front desk fairly obviously checked out my fiancé. You should not put someone at the front desk if they are going to make your female guests feel unsafe. That is unacceptable in my book. Shoddy rooms I can overlook, but if you are a single woman or bringing a significant other, I would consider looking elsewhere. The one redeeming quality was the fact that the hotel is located near a number of good food spots. However, don’t go out and return too late or the front desk guy might cause you to regret having came back to finish your stay.
