  We came here to stay for a half a day stay and Greg at the font desk was phenomenal! Told us about all the amenities included, very knowledgeable. Took me and my husband to run a few errands that were only two miles from the hotel. Did I mention how great Greg was? I would visit again just for him. He has phenomenal hospitality and we are so grateful for a good experience! We will be back for a full stay

  Extremely underwhelming! This place is overrated by every measure. Staff is rude. The place is done up on social media and in photos, but is fake chic at best. The setup of the hotel is disconnected so moving thru and enjoying the space is difficult to just unwind. We stayed for the fake “spa” where 1/2 saunas worked. And the only working sauna wasn’t turned on IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY so it took over an hour for it to warm up. The “winter spa” basically then incudes a cold pool, broken sauna, half working sauna and cold lounge room with space heaters that don’t work. Absolute drag of a vibe if you’re spending the money to relax. Avoid if you’re trying to actually enjoy the amenities in off season in any way. False marketing. I’m sure it’s fine in summer but the staff, lack of care and under delivery means I won’t be returning. At least know what you’re getting into.

  Just had my wedding here about a month ago and we can go on an on about how amazing it was. The Rockaway Hotel was so good to us and made it so easy to celebrate. Not only is it such a beautiful space, but everyone apart of the events team was great. Jay was our maître d’ and he really went above and beyond to making us feel so special and making sure the whole day/night went smooth. He is the real deal! Thank you to Erika and Kristen for assisting through the process too!!

  Went with a group of friends, and we had a wonderful overnight stay at The Rockaway Hotel. (Note: when entering on a GPS, make sure you type in THE Rockaway Hotel to go to the correct one.) All of the staff that we came into contact with were very friendly and helpful. The solarium is beautiful and very comfortable, cozy and relaxing. The pool is small, and it was crowded, but the water was very warm, so it was comfortable to stay in. There are also two saunas on the pool deck, which were very popular. Both the food in the solarium and dinner at Margie's were delicious, and they had a few gluten free options, which was helpful. There is also a small bakery where you can get breakfast items, or there are a few small restaurants across the street. The rooftop bar was a hit as well, and you can eat there too. The rooms are very small, and there is no closet, just a few hooks to hang clothes, and drawers under the platform beds. It's very tight, but the beds were very comfortable. No coffee or tea in the rooms, but they have it in the lobby. We all used the spa for different services. It's small, so we all had different time slots, but everyone was happy with their treatments. If you know you are going to use the spa, you can purchase a spa gift card in advance, which will give you a discount. The parking lot is a couple of blocks away, and costs $10. We didn't know where it was, and after driving around a couple of times, we gave up and went to the valet, which costs $25. The hotel is also close to the ferry, so it's an easy trip from the city. Overall, I would recommend The Rockaway Hotel, and look forward to returning.

  The spa the spa the spa. The sole reason I booked and was not disappointed at all!!!I left a day early because if u come before summer everything is closed and not much to do. This is a place you come to for mainly spa stuff and leave. Summertime I'm sure it's better. Highly suggest bringing a car so u can go get amazing food nearby. This place is not for foodies. I also want to mention the Gam he is the reason I'm definitely coming back in the summer to give it another try. He was so kind and really listened to what my complaints were and it really had little to do with the hotel that he had control over.
