I had deep tissue massage with Joey today, and he now my absolute favorite masseuse. Very knowledgeable and able to target problematic areas. From the sauna to the pool side to the spa, today was just amazing. Will definitely be back!

I was there this past weekend and all three days I was there the pool was freezing cold. Every time I talked to staff about it they said the pool was “warming up” and to give it time to warm up.
- PJPhilip JunkerFeb 16, 20262.0I was disappointed with my stay at The Rockaway Hotel: Even though I booked a deluxe room with bay view to see Manhattan, we were assigned a room overlooking the industrial parts of Far Rockaway. Because there are no proper curtains but only rollershades that don't fully darken the room and outside there's lots of light all night long I didn't sleep well (as a matter if fact I slept better on the ferry ride back to Manhattan the day after). The advertised heated pool was completely unheated and therefore not usable. Thankfully the staff was kind enough to not charge the $55 amenity fee because of that. Last but not least the staff was not friendly in general. They provided answers if asked, but we didn't feel very welcome. Also, from a 4* hotel I'd expect slippers and a toilet brush in the room, which was not the case.
