Nice location, but the hotel falls short of the rustic, quaint charm it promises. While the lobby is pleasant, the rooms feel worn and shabby, with old carpeting that seems barely vacuumed. The windows are outdated, with rotting exterior molding, and the furniture is a mix of old and new. Overall, very disappointing given the hotel’s potential.
False intrusion, hotel abuse of police resources, dangerous eviction against me, causing my girlfriend fear and frostbite on her hands. I will retain legal counsel to pursue legal action against you.

More like an “acceptable western”than a “best western” 🤠
There's a patio that's right in front of a river, beautiful view.
The room size was great for the price, simple and classic design, near. there was a lot of amenities provided, such as extra blankets, pillows, hair dryer, iron, hangers, mini fridge, coffee machine, essentials such as body wash, shampoo soap that smelled so good.
The front desk workers were very sweet and accommodating.
There's also cable TV.
The breakfast was amazing.
Eggs, yogurt, sausage, waffles. Baked goods. Grits, oatmeal. Coffee machine in the dining area, and all sorts of lattes. Hot chocolate, and etc... also a juice machine!
One of the best motels I've stayed in, with one of the best pricings.

Disappointing Stay: Maintenance and Housekeeping Issues at Best Western Plus Poughkeepsie
I rarely leave negative feedback, but I felt it necessary to share my experience at the Best Western Plus Inn & Suites at the Falls in Red Oaks Mill, NY (near Poughkeepsie), so other travelers can set appropriate expectations.
From the start, the stay was frustrating due to constant key card failures and deactivations. The room condition was visibly dated; rooms feel old, and minor repairs are needed, such as damaged door trims and scuffed paint. Cleanliness was a major concern—the floor was dirty with old food debris between the beds and nightstand, and we discovered old food left in the mini-fridge. Adding to the functional issues, the phone in the room was disconnected from the wall.
The housekeeping service and amenity stocking were severely lacking. We were not provided washcloths, the garbage cans are too small and fill up quickly, and we completely ran out of toilet paper. After requesting more toilet paper and garbage bags before leaving for the morning, I returned hours later to find the items had still not been delivered to the room. Furthermore, the thin walls and ceilings meant we could clearly hear the people next door and above us, disrupting sleep quality.
Finally, the free breakfast was disappointing. The hot food options were not hot and were not replenished when empty, nor were the condiments refilled. I had to hunt down a staff member in the back kitchen just to get basic items.
Overall, the combination of poor maintenance, lack of supplies, ignored requests, and an inadequate breakfast resulted in a frustrating experience. If you are looking for a reliable, well-maintained hotel stay in the Poughkeepsie area, you may want to look elsewhere.
