We stayed here for a soccer tournament and it was lovely (one of the best Homewood Suites I’ve ever stayed in). Unfortunately, we had to cancel our second night because of weather and to my surprise, the hotel refunded our entire group! This is the epitome of excellent customer service.
We also liked the helpful front desk staff, the spotlessly clean rooms, the well stocked and clean breakfast and the overall helpfulness and kindness of every staff we encountered.
Well done. As someone who travels often, this is a gem of a place. Keep up the good work!
When your house has a major leak and anxiety builds up last thing one thinks of is an extended stay. From the moment I arrived at Homewood suites in Melville the staff (Mark, Jessica, Shivone) have been a blessing. Seeing the smiles on their faces and the warmth you receive makes you feel welcome to home I never had. The amenities (daily breakfast, outdoor bbq grills, couch and lobby area with pool, fireplace, gym and social evenings with drinks and dinner every Wednesday to name a few) makes one wonder if I am missing the worries I left behind at all. Rooms are spacious mirroring a 1-bedroom king suite and room service is prompt. They even offer popcorn and baked goods along with ice cream along with Full day coffee for all their guests. Conveniently located off the Interstate 495 (LIE) highway and plenty of parking makes this my new favorite spots. Being a Hilton property the keyless entry to the amenities and rooms makes it a great place. Thank you Hilton, Homewood Suites and staff for embracing us with your impeccable hospitality.
I am local. Loving for a staycation local to where I live found this Hilton where I could use my points and have a wonderful night out with my husband with a hot tub and pool.. Reading several reviews found out that If you stay on a Wednesday, there’s a complementary buffet dinner included with your stay We had chicken mashed potatoes and corn with salad and soup, cookies, ice cream and all you can have beer and wine. It was fantastic. It doesn’t compare to Olive Garden but if you’re looking for something quick simple and enjoyable that is free or you don’t have to leave this is fantastic again it’s not a Michelin star review but if you’re looking for something fast, quick simple, easy and free it checks off all the boxes. My husband and I were happy to come and drink their beer. Drink their wine sit in the hot tub, eat their food and take ice cream to go back to the room which I have to say the room was absolutely gorgeous clean refrigerator or dishwasher pots pans stove, top separate bedroom king size bed, ample towels, definitely someplace you’d wanna come for a local staycation dog, friendly outdoor barbecue outdoor fire pit very enjoyable. I give it two thumbs up for what my husband and I were looking

If zero stars were possible, that would be the appropriate rating.
We were wrongfully charged nearly $300 in “cleaning fees” for a room that was left in clean condition. The only thing left behind were a few paper rose petals on the floor — no damage, no stains, no excessive mess beyond what standard housekeeping manages daily.
In fact, we brought our own trash bags, consolidated all garbage, washed dishes, unloaded dishwasher, and ensured everything was left respectfully. We have worked in hospitality for years prior to becoming hardworking nurses and healthcare professionals — we know what a trashed room looks like, and this was nowhere close.
We even left a tip for housekeeping as a gesture of appreciation.
When we called to respectfully question the charge, instead of transparency or evidence, we were met with a series of serious and completely unfounded accusations seemingly used to justify the fee.
We were accused of:
• Burning the carpet with a wax candle
• Smoking in the room
• Generating noise complaints
There was not a single wax candle in the room. We intentionally spent over $100 on battery-operated candles specifically to avoid fire hazards or damage concerns. The allegation that we burned carpet with wax is entirely fabricated.
We were also accused of smoking. None of us smoke — several of us are asthmatic. There wasn’t even a lighter present. The idea that we smoked in the room without any odor, residue, or evidence is not only false, it’s offensive.
As for “noise complaints,” we never received a single phone call, knock, or visit from security during our stay. Hotels notify guests immediately if there is a disturbance. That never happened. If complaints truly existed, why were we never informed at the time?
We are healthcare professionals who took one evening to celebrate sisterhood and enjoy a simple self-care night. Instead, we were met afterward with baseless accusations and an excessive charge that feels far more like a money grab than legitimate policy enforcement.
False claims, lack of evidence, and surprise post-stay charges are unacceptable.
Proceed with caution. Take photos before checkout. Document everything.
We will absolutely be disputing this charge.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Homewood Suites by Hilton Long Island-Melville. Although the room itself was clean and physically nice, the service completely ruined our stay.
We were charged an excessive cleaning fee for a room that we absolutely did not dirty beyond normal use. When we asked for an explanation, we were told it was due to a “noise complaint” — something we were never informed about during our stay. We did not receive a single warning phone call, knock on the door, or any communication whatsoever. If there was truly an issue, why were we not notified at the time so it could be addressed?
On top of that, we were accused of burning the carpets with wax. There were no candles, no wax, and no open flames of any kind present in our room during our entire stay. This accusation is completely false and extremely concerning. It feels like a baseless claim used to justify an outrageous fee. When asked for photos for proof they were unwilling to provide any.
Being blindsided with charges and unsupported accusations after checkout is unacceptable. A hotel can have beautiful rooms, but if management handles situations this poorly and without transparency, it leaves a terrible impression. I would not stay here again based on how this was handled.
