  During our stay, we experienced an few issues that I feel need to be addressed, as they are not in line with basic hotel cleanliness or guest service standards. On our first night, when we pulled back the sheets to go to bed, we found crumbs and dried rice between them. My son had also found rice on the chair earlier. When I called the front desk to report this, the response I received was, “Did you tell anyone when you found it?” I explained that I was calling the moment we discovered it. No room change was available until the next morning(it never happened), and while clean linens were eventually sent, the condition of the room upon arrival was unacceptable. A few days later my daughter accidentally wet the bed at 7am. When we requested clean sheets, my husband was told that nothing could be done until housekeeping arrived at 10am. I also asked if I could pick up clean linens myself, and was told none were available. Having worked at a hotel front desk myself, I know that spare linens should always be accessible for situations like this, regardless of housekeeping’s schedule. Not having any clean sheets available for several hours, especially for a soiled bed, is unsanitary and concerning. This is not an unreasonable request, nor is it outside standard hotel practice. I strongly encourage the property to review its procedures to ensure guests are not left without basic necessities like clean bedding. Also, the pictures of the hotel are very deceiving. I would say most of their rooms have no windows to the outside but there is strange windows in your room that show the hallway. They do although have a hot coco/coffee machine in the lobby which was nice, unfortunately 2 out of the 3 times I used it, only water came out. Neither the manager nor general manager have responded to my emails. This hotel gives Holiday Inn a bad name and it’s unfortunate because I’ve stayed at several great ones with excellent service.

  Always disappointed when the late check out times for Diamond Elite members are noon.... The time that used to be the normal check out earlier in the year. Dropping the check outs from 12 to 11 and then offering a late check out of noon is funny. But I leave these reviews to remind myself when I come in town for work not to stay here and go to one of the IHG locations that have 1 and 2pm check outs (fortunately most do.)

  Had a wonderful stay at the Holiday Inn Plainview–Long Island. The room was clean and very comfortable. The staff at the front desk were friendly and welcoming. Our first room unfortunately wasn’t clean, but Patrick, the manager at the front desk, addressed the issue right away and gave us another room. There’s also a restaurant, Bistro 495, on the property, which is very convenient. Everything worked perfectly: Wi-Fi, a comfortable bed, and plenty of parking.

  I recommend every bride to stay at the Holiday Inn in Plainview. We had started our search for a hotel room block very early in our planning process. Although we found the Holiday Inn by accident, we will be back. I used a service to arrange our hotel block and discovered the Holiday Inn in Plainview. That service connected me to an absolute gem, Sara. From the first day that I met Sara, she was so kind, professional, and accommodating. Sara had taken the information provided to her by the booking service and somehow made it even better. She assured me that she would honor any rates that our guest could find cheaper online for the Days in our block and was very accommodating in adding people who had mistakenly booked outside of the block. Sara was so responsive and so accommodating. Sara made it very possible for us to continue our wedding reception in the hotel bar. Sara was instrumental in giving me recommendations to make our after party special and answering all of my silly questions. She allowed me to bring in gift boxes for my hotel guests for the hotel staff to hand out upon my guest check-in. Now to the good stuff, the presidential suite. I wish I could’ve recorded my reaction to seeing the dress hook that is in that suite. I arrived into the presidential suite and was first in awe of the size and the layout until I saw the hook. The hook that was what seemed like in avalanche off the ground was high enough to accommodate my very big, puffy, long train. I was able to fluff out my dress and keep it seamless and my very long cathedral veil. The hook certainly made the room. The room otherwise featured a very spacious bathroom, a sweetheart sized tub, cozy, feather pillows, and a lovely bed. The suite offered more than enough space for six women to get their hair done throughout the morning. This suite also featured a countertop with a full coffee bar for any sort of refreshments and a very spacious fridge. The suite also featured a couch for my bridal party to crash on after the after party. This suite certainly exceeded my expectations, and one of my favorite features of the suite was the proximity to the lobby. Even in my big princess dress, I only had to make it down about eight steps to get to the lobby. The Holiday Inn staff certainly exceeded our expectations and was unbelievably accommodating and gracious. We certainly intend to stay at this lovely hotel again for our one year anniversary. Thank you, Sara to the entire team.
