    Bit dated. Needs some basic upgrades like the stained ceiling tile, little more representation in the lobby and just overall clean up. Doesn't need allot of investment just basic better operations.

    It smelled so bad like Marijuana. The heating/ air conditioner unit in our room made a big bang when it would turn on and off. You'd be in a dead sleep and it would just bang scare the crap out of you. The elevator did not work in the facility. But the staff made up for it. They carried all of our luggage up. The room was not very clean.

    The hotel itself is big and have a restaurant on premises. The room is decent sized and comes with a refrigerator and a microwave which is rear to see a microwave! Room service is an option as well. Staff was polite Cons. The room have no windows

    This is a marked as a 3 star hotel. The outside (Location) and inside (Lobby area) and the guest service area was nice. However the suite we stayed in was a Bridal suite for VALENTINES DAY. The HOT TUB was not working properly, The elevator was not working . This is an inconvenience for anyone whom really need it. The bathroom was DIRTY for a room that was considered suite.

    My message to IHG customer service about my stay at Holiday Inn Plainview Long Island on 01/23/2026. Good afternoon, I am having a pretty big problem with one of your hotels that I stayed in on Friday evening. Around 11:30pm my 10yr old son woke me up complaining about a very foul smell and the he was not feeling well at all. The hotel room and hallway was full with a very potent marijuana odor. My son felt light headed and nauseous. He then proceeded to vomit in the trash can for 30mins while sitting on the toilet. After he stopped vomiting and settled down, I went to the front desk to inform them of the issue and to have my room switched due to it now smelling of marijuana and vomit. The employee at the front desk was dismissive and unwilling to be bothered to come investigate the smell or switch the room. I asked her why she refused to come to the room to smell the odor and she said she “did not have to deal with my harassment” and then went in the office and shut the door. I then proceeded to call IHG customer support and they tried calling the hotel several times before the employee finally came out of the office to answer the phone. She then put the call on hold and once again retreated to the office leaving the front desk unattended. During this time she called the police which I found out when they showed up and asked me what was going on. I explained to the officer what had happened and he and I agreed that there was very little if anything that the police could do since it was a civil matter between a business and a customer. The officer advised me that it was probably best to deal directly with customer service instead of the employee at this point, which I agreed. I have had several phone calls with customer service and they keep pushing me back to the individual hotel who finally called me back this morning. It was a very infuriating response. The person I spoke at the hotel was only concerned with the fact that I brought the trash can with vomit down to the front desk. The trash can had other trash items and vomit in it, so dumping it in the toilet was not an option, and it was definitely not staying in my room. I thought the best option was bringing to the staff to handle. I would like to think that this would not live up to the standards of your brand. This has severely soured my view of your company and I have zero desire to spend my money at any of your properties going forward, and I will be advising my company to remove all IHG properties from our concur travel site. I will also be recounting this event to anyone that mentions having to ever stay in a hotel.
