Excellent multidirectional views over the river, beautiful room and property, and friendly service throughout our stay. We enjoyed a scrumptious sunset dinner at Apropos on our first night, and snacks at the bar on Sunday. The cocktails featuring house-made and local ingredients were a highlight as well. If the opportunity arises, don’t miss a class or tasting with Cellar-Master Donnan!

We had the pleasure of being shown around by Donnan , the Food & Beverage Manager, and he went above and beyond to give us a full tour and showcase everything the venue offers. His professionalism, creativity, and attention to detail were outstanding. He even shared some of the unique cocktails he has created, which was such a fun and impressive touch. This would be an incredible venue for weddings or special events, with beautiful accommodations and a five-star feel throughout. Donan is clearly passionate about what he does and is a tremendous asset to the Abbey Inn & Spa. Highly recommend!

No reasonable request is denied and go out of their way to make your stay at this historic location memorable. Short walk to town (steep hill). Amenities are limited in winter and the spa is not good. Hotel itself I would highly recommend.
