- EOErin O'ConnellOct 20, 20253.0The front desk staff was very friendly. The room we had would have been fine, if it had been cleaned properly. Floors hadn't been swept, mopped, or vacuumed. There was a used pod in the Keurig machine, and it appeared as of the faucet and sink had not been wiped down. Side note, this location uses a passive vent system in the bathroom. This means there is no fan to turn on when showering. Everything, and I mean everything, gets wet in the bathroom if you shower with the door closed. I took a warm, not hot, 10 minute shower and the towels, my clothing, etc. were all wet when I got out of the shower. The humidity in the bathroom was so bad, that water literally drips off the mirror and other vertical surfaces. Otherwise the room was fine. We picked the location because it is central to a lot of other places and activities we wanted to visit/do. There isn't much in Painted Post, but there is a lot within a decent driving distance.

The room was spotless and spacious with a comfortable bed that made it hard to leave in the morning. Each morning started with breakfast featuring a decent variety of options. The dining area was cozy and well-maintained, making it a pleasant way to begin the day. The location was ideal—close to local attractions and restaurants, yet quiet enough to relax and unwind. The 7-11 in front of the hotel was also convenient to grab refreshments before turning in. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, we highly recommend it for a comfortable and memorable stay. We'll definitely be returning!

The beds and pillows were so comfy which is what I like about Holiday Inn Hotels. You mist visit Watkins Glen State Park just a half hour away. It's just beautiful but be prepared for a lot of steps. Food recommendation is Hand and Foot Restauraunt. Excellent trip!!
