Our stay here was quite disappointing. When we arrived, there was a big spider right on the door — not something you expect to see when checking into a place that’s supposed to be clean and ready for guests. It made us feel uncomfortable right from the start. There were also plumbing issues. The showerhead was loose and kept moving around, and the sink drained very slowly. Overall, the place needs better cleaning and some basic maintenance. I wouldn’t recommend staying here until these issues are properly addressed.

This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in, although an insect-infested room from another trip is a close second. It was the 2nd dirtiest room I’ve ever checked into, but at least the hotel with the dirtiest room (more than 20 years ago, before you could read hotel reviews) didn’t have all the other issues of this hotel. Besides some dirt/grime in several places, including a disgusting toilet bowl, I found hairs on several surfaces in the bathroom, floor, bedding, and desk. I had paper towels and removed as much as I could since I assumed other rooms would have the same issue. The main issue here was noise. I’d asked for a top floor room when making the reservation many months in advance. We were told when we checked that some people live on the top floor and we were assigned to the 2nd floor. When we explained that we are light sleepers and were concerned about hearing people walking around above us, she assigned a top (3rd) floor room. She’d said that there are quiet hours, which we assume applies to things like TV and loud conversations, not walking (stomping for heavy walkers) around, so we took the 3rd floor room. There only seemed to be a few occupied rooms on our floor. They were there whenever we were there, including the middle of the day (when we checked in). At least two 4-5 person families were loud. From the hallway, we could hear conversations clearly when they were in their rooms several doors down. From our room, our white noise machine and earplugs covered up the noise. Sometimes, a family member would go into the hall to have a phone conversation, pacing the halls and speaking loudly while on speaker (we had to hear both sides of the conversations) (this even happened at 10:30 at night, which was heard over our noise-defeating measures). The guy across the hall was quiet (except when he got ice down the hall and then use his blender) and wasn’t an issue; he told us he worked from 9pm to 6am. We saw other construction workers in the halls, but never heard them. The second day, after we’d already asked hotel staff to enforce quiet-hours the night before, they put groups into the rooms on either side of us! One was a family with a young child who hopped up and down, making a lot of noise, for a long time. The other watched TV loudly most of the time. We wanted to change rooms, but a man at the front desk told us the hotel was fully booked. That was obviously not true based on the limited number of cars in the parking lot (at all times of the day and night for our entire stay). An online search of the official website and a hotel consolidator website confirmed that many rooms were available, but by the time I saw that it was past our bedtime and we decided to just stay in the room. Other notes: The breakfast was the least generous hotel hot breakfast I can recall (e.g., no potatoes, was exactly the same every day, few choices), although it sufficed. The “closet” in our room (2-Queen) was poorly placed. It was in a corner and next to a bed, which was very close to the wall. I’m small and could squeeze between the bed and wall to get to it, but it was easier to crawl across the bed. Most staff were nice, although one lied about how booked the hotel was and one resisted enforcing the quiet hours (but did in the end). The refrigerator “freezer” area probably would not keep something frozen, but we did not test it. Update, response to hotel: We complained about noise every night but didn't see a reason to complain about the other things. For example, it seemed unlikely you would have added more choices to the breakfast, the closet cubby could not be moved, and I cleaned what I could - thought it would be faster.

Pros: - mostly clean except for hair found on pillow/bed - conveniently located near the borders and outlet mall - reasonable prices Cons: - room with 1 bed is on the small side, the problem we have is not the size of the room but the size of the bed! there's no way it's a queen size bed, 1 of the smallest 'queen' I've slept on, mattress also felt too soft/springy and not comfortable - no toilet lid leading to hygienic problems, I always prefer to flush with toilet lids on, this is the ONLY place I've stayed at without a toilet lid - went for breakfast at 8:20am on a Thursday morning, waited for 15mins still no availability - wifi is terrible at night, not always working
