Booked and paid for a 2 bedroom room but was given a 1 bedroom instead. The hotel refused to reimburse us or provide the proper room. On top of that, housekeeping did not show up half of the time. On one of the occasions they did, they threw out 20$ worth of my belongings. It was a figurine sitting on the top of a bag, very obviously not something you’d throw out. They did not reimburse me for this. Overall, extremely poor service. Management took 0 accountability for any of this and made us pay full price despite all of these issues. Yall made my grandma cry.

After a rough travel morning and an hour in gridlock from the airport, as a diamond member was looking forward to getting into my room and get dressed for afternoon meetings. But they don’t have any rooms here at noon, so the entire plan is screwed. Holiday inns are supposed to be refreshing and relaxing, this one is the opposite. You can’t get a IHG diamond member into any room at all by noon? Enjoy the 1 star then.

I booked this hotel for 4 nights from 03/22/2026 - 03/26/2026. On 03/22/2026, an AirCanada plane struck a firetruck on the LGA runway. Most flights flying into LGA were cancelled that day - my flight being one of them. I had to take the next flight the following day. Unfortunately, I was unable to check in and the hotel charged me a $150 “no show” fee for the first night. I called to explain what had happened and why I was unable to get into New York that day, but they didn’t seem to care about the lives lost that day and the fact that there was no possible way I would’ve made it to NYC due to the airport closure for the investigation. Capitalism at its finest, I guess. Now for the actual room, there is a sheer curtain that doesn’t block out sunlight so sleeping in was not possible. This sheer curtain also didn’t allow any privacy as people can see into my room and I couldn’t even get dressed without fear of someone being able to see. Additionally, I woke up to construction 5 ft from my window every morning.

What a disappointing experience! My husband and I share an IHG (Holiday Inn) rewards account and had booked a room for the night with my name listed as a guest on the reservation. I arrived at 6:30pm with the reservation confirmation email (where my name was listed), the IHG rewards credit we used to book the hotel and even had a copy of his drivers license just in case that was needed. We have done this 20+ times at different hotels with no issue. The IHG website clearly says this is allowed (see photo) but the front desk staff refused to allow me to check in. IHG customer service even called and spoke with the front desk and told the woman that I should be allowed to stay but the front desk woman refused. While I was in the lobby for 30+ minutes as IHG tried to help me, the front desk staff would check others in and loudly ask the other guests if their name was on the reservation and then they’d rudely laugh and say “Good!” and roll their eyes towards me. I asked to speak to anyone else (a manager?) but they said I couldn’t. So, there I was at 7pm in NYC with no place to stay and all of my suitcases and bags. The staff made no attempts to help and the best I could do was find a more expensive hotel 25 minutes away in an area I had no interest in with $65 parking. This hassle meant that I had to miss dinner that night because I had tickets to something that evening and was made late by this hassle and I had to spend an additional hour traveling back and forth to the area the next day since I had scheduled a meeting near the hotel for Monday and was now several neighborhoods away. I never leave bad reviews but this was such a negative experience that I had to warn others that this hotel does not follow the guidelines set out by IHG so I’d be very wary of staying here.
