I reserved a room with a view of the city but receive a view of an alley. The room was small, and the bed was harder than the floor. I expressed my concern over not receiving the room I reserved and received rude, condescending, remarks from the guy at the front desk. I had the unfortunate, displeasure of speaking with this individual, who I believe is named Daniel. He was extremely rude, non-accomodating and unprofessional. The hotel has no room service, the restaurant is only open for breakfast and we had a housekeeping cart sitting in our doorway the entire weekend.

I often stay at the Warwick and find it to be perfect every time. Well, it’s not the most updated hotel. It is deep in history and the service, food and location are amazing. The only dig would be it does not have a restaurant that serves anything other than breakfast But there are plenty of great restaurants and markets within easy walking distance.

The hotel itself is beautiful and the location is ideal. The staff is phenomenal!
But, What makes this such a special place and where we will come again on our next trip, is the doorman Adam. For context, my sister and I grew up in New York City. We brought my 13 year old daughter for her very first visit. My daughter is on the spectrum and was a bit overwhelmed and overstimulated by everything. Adam was the first impression we had of the Warwick. He showed her kindness, he showed her respect, and he made her feel special. He put her at ease. All throughout our stay, she asked if we were going to see Adam today. My daughter said her favorite part of our entire trip was Adam. As thanks, she drew a portrait of him which we passed along to the front desk. Thank you, Warwick for having such wonderful people work for you. And thank you, Adam! Thank you for making my daughter feel so welcomed and special!

Gorgeous hotel with generously sized rooms and all the New York feels! Central locations for easy walking or hopping in public transit. The bellman who helped us at check in was friendly and quite funny, forgive me for not remembering his name. The breakfast at Murals was quite pricey but the portions were big and the food was tasty. Would probably skip that next time and hit the deli down the road instead. We enjoyed Randolph’s bar/lounge, very pretty & great service for an evening cocktail!

Worst Hotel Experience Ever — Stay Away!
I came to New York especially to run the NYC Marathon and stayed at this hotel, which was actually quite expensive, booked through a travel agency that specializes in marathon trips around the world (they have nothing to do with this mess).
Before 5 p.m., I reported that the door to my room was damaged — the hinge broke when I tried to open it. I told the front desk right away. They said someone would come to fix it, but no one ever did. I went downstairs to talk to the front desk again; the girl there promised they would send maintenance — still, nothing happened. Later they claimed they couldn’t reach me because they didn’t have my contact information… really? But they did have all my details when they charged me a $400 deposit “in case something gets damaged.” What a joke.
We came back around 11 p.m., and the door was still broken. When I called again, they said they would move us to another room. My 5-year-old daughter was already asleep, so I had to pack everything myself. No one offered to help with the luggage — three suitcases and a stroller. Not a single person. Once we finally got to the new room, they took over 30 minutes to bring the extra bed for my daughter.
I went down again to talk to the manager and the front desk staff working that night. The treatment I received was absolutely terrible — rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. The manager was polite in words but did nothing to actually fix the situation.
Honestly, this was the worst service I have ever experienced in a hotel that supposedly has “diamond” ratings and charges these prices. The cost does not match the quality at all — ZERO customer service, ZERO empathy, ZERO professionalism.
Never again. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.
