The location near times square is fine. The rooms were clean. The view from the city view rooms is not like the website at all. They claim there are some rooms at the top floors on the corner. But the rest are a building 20-30 ft away. After an hour of talking with the front desk, having them tell me to call Hilton, Hilton telling me to talk with the front desk. I showed them a picture and they said its the same as the website. With a straight face. They found another room which still wasnt close to the city view from the website. I asked for a full or partial refund so i could leave. I just don't have the budget to burn a 1k and then go spend another 1k at a different hotel. It was 1 am at the time. They said no, its 1am just go to bed. We won't do anything, we are going to defer to the GM to make that decision and we dont want to bother them with something like this tonight. We're a business and we can't go giving back money. They said look at your policy, it not refundable. I looked and it said early departure fee 250$ + 1 night charge. Another area says nonrefundable, but I said im not getting what I paid for. They dismissed this and said I wasnt likely to get anything back. I felt like they thought I was lying. I don't know what they thought my game plan was. I was willing to spend half of my deposite still, not sleep a night in the hotel, take my luggage down and out to another hotel, at 1 am in the morning, and spend money for 4 nights their.

I've stayed here several times, and every room has the same problem--terrible HVAC system. It cuts on and off every few minutes over and over again. Noisy and distracting. Hotel supplies earplugs in every room. It's not for noise in Times Square--it's for the HVAC. Not sure why settings can't be modified to make the system run more smoothly.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. We were very pleased with our stay. Yes rooms in Times Square can be smaller but we didn’t really needed much more space as we just needed the room to sleep. Staff were very nice and the hotel is clean and new. The area is busier and louder on itself as you are in Times Square. Our only down side was the mattress. Not sure if this was our room only or a personal preference but our mattress was very soft ( actually sinking in when lying down) which caused us some back pain after the 2nd night.

Pros: The location is great — very close to Times Square, which is convenient if your meetings or plans are nearby. Honestly, not many other pros come to mind. Cons: The beds aren’t premium and felt quite firm and uncomfortable. As a Diamond member, I didn’t receive any upgrade or recognition, which was surprising since it’s the first time that’s ever happened. The lobby was often crowded and seemed understaffed throughout my three-night stay, making it difficult to get assistance. Even calling from the room phone took a long time to reach someone. Room service isn’t covered by Hilton credits — you have to go downstairs to eat. Breakfast service was chaotic. On my first morning, I had an early meeting, so I arrived right at 7 a.m. when they opened. It took about 30 minutes just to get a coffee and croissant because there was only one staff member trying to serve around 30 guests. He worked quickly, but it clearly wasn’t enough help. I mentioned it to the front desk, but the same situation happened again the next day. On my third morning, I went later for the full breakfast — service was better then, and the server was very kind. Things to Know Before Booking: The rooms are extremely small — definitely giving more hostel than hotel vibes. I expected compact rooms, but they still felt quite claustrophobic, likely due to the lack of open views or natural light. Tips are automatically included in receipts (without clear notice), and they also prompt you to add an additional tip. While the service was excellent, this practice felt a bit manipulative. I visited my friend at the other hilton next block tempo and it was the oppsosite! book that one!

The rooms were very clean, staff was very friendly and helpful. I do want to be very clear how small the rooms are, though. They are really perfect if you aren't going to be spending much time in the room and truly just need a place to lay your head for a quick sleep. I was staying for 2 nights, and should have planned that I would be working from the room some - using the end of the bed as my "desk" for the day. Again, if all you need is a place to lay your head, great. It's actually quite impressive how they have so much in a small space. The walls are very thin though, so you hear every sneeze, every cough, any music playing in the rooms next to each other. I could hear both the people's alarms on either side of me. I would not recommend this place if you have 2 people staying in 1 room due to limited space.
