I had an extremely frustrating experience with this hotel’s customer service. I booked the reservation the same day and realized shortly after that I needed to cancel. Instead of receiving assistance, I was given the runaround for nearly three hours.
The front desk repeatedly hung up on me, transferred me to voicemail boxes, and placed me on hold only to disconnect the call. It felt completely unprofessional and dismissive. I wasn’t asking for anything unreasonable — the reservation had only been made minutes prior.
When I contacted Hilton customer service, they reached out directly to the hotel manager, Mark. Mark was fully aware of the situation and still stated they would not cancel or waive the reservation that had been booked just minutes earlier. There was no effort to assist or find a solution — just a flat refusal.
The entire experience was exhausting, unprofessional, and incredibly disappointing. Spending hours being hung up on and transferred in circles is unacceptable. I would not recommend this hotel based on the horrible customer service alone.

This is the grossest hotel I have stayed at in a very long time. I've been traveling for about 3 months now and have stayed in almost 10 places within this time frame.
I couldn't even use the toilet when I arrived into my room due to the pubic hairs all over it. I took pictures, cleaned what I could with wipes I brought with me and showed the front desk. Their solution was to instruct me to email management. So I proceeded to continue to clean my room with my own cleaning products. Along with pubic and other hair all over my room, tub and toilet, the floors are dirty, the hand towels look used, and there was only one bath towel, making me think it was just a leftover one from the past guest.
I didn't bring enough cleaning supplies to do the kind of clean this room needs. Nor should I have to. Extra point just for location.
Come on Hilton, do better.

The hotel was good and service at UN Cafe was exceptional. Sonel, who is from Türkiye, greeted us warmly every morning and made us feel genuinely welcome. Thanks to her kindness and positive energy, we were able to start each day of our trip in a great mood. She was truly the best staff member at the hotel.
However, my experience with one of the housekeeping staff was very disappointing. Even though I clearly stated that I did not need housekeeping service, the housekeeper still entered the room to check. While I was resting, she repeatedly knocked loudly on the door, even when the “Do Not Disturb” sign was placed outside, which woke me up.
On the day of check-out, I accidentally left a very large power bank and charging cable on the bed. It seems they may have been thrown away, and I was told multiple times that nothing was found, without even a word of apology. I understand that it was ultimately my mistake for leaving the items behind. However, as far as I know, it is against Hilton policy to dispose of a guest’s belongings at the housekeeper’s discretion. The lack of proper handling and the front desk’s response did not match the reputation of the hotel.
While the service at UN Cafe was truly outstanding, my experience with housekeeping was unfortunately one of the worst I have ever had.

Was a very good hotel. They had this daily fee thay was charged which was not explained before.
So you pay $38. But how it was explained to ua ia yoy get charged $38 a day t use say at the Cafe. But was told that if yoy dont use it yoy lose it. So we would grab stuff from the café. On check out we were refunded the #28 but charged for stuff from the café. Had we known that we would be refunded no way would we had shopped at thw Cafe daily.
Other than that the room was noce. The view was wicked. Close enough to downtown Manhattan. You can get your steps in for sure. Staff was pleasant and noce. Would stay there again but no to the Cafe. Lol.

Just arrived back home after a five night stay at the Millennium Hilton hotel.
Our stay was alright , most of the staff are so friendly and welcoming. We were not informed of a daily charge of $36 but that wasn’t the hotels fault , I was a bit surprised when we checked in to be charged this.
The location is fine if you are happy to walk into the city. It is about a ten- fifteen minute walk to grand central station. Also it’s only a short walk to the east river ferry to take the ferry downtown. It is quite quiet on a night re traffic but the air con - was so noisy and clicked all the time so we didn’t sleep well. It was too cold to sleep without it on.
We have a mixed bag of emotions regarding staying here. One of the nights I had gone to take a shower and what I can only describe as pure dirt started to rise up from the bath, it was all over me. I contacted reception who immediately sent up somebody from maintenance who then had to get someone else to help. The bath was extremely blocked and took over an hour for them to finish the unblocking. We had booked dinner reservations that evening for my birthday and we had missed our time due to having to wait for the work to be done.
The maintenance crew was so apologetic and showed me how much debris Hair et cetera they had removed from the bath. The smell was absolutely vile.
This is where my only complaint is when I went downstairs to speak to reception for a little bit of assistance as we didn’t really know the area I explained it was my birthday and we had booked somewhere to go for food, but we’d missed our reservation time due to the work going on she couldn’t have cared any less. Her exact words were okay? I asked her, do they recommend anywhere for a takeout for something to be delivered to the hotel. My mum is seventy and didn’t want to go venture too far that late at night.
The lady proceeded to look at me as though I shouldn’t have been there asking her the questions and she said just download something and get it delivered to it happens all the time. Her attitude was so blunt and uncaring. I just felt extremely letdown by the customer service in that instance. Everybody else we had spoken to in the hotel had been absolutely amazing up until that point everyone was so polite and courteous and couldn’t do enough for you.
I didn’t receive an apology for what happened in my room. I would’ve at least expected an apology or even an offer to move us to a different room. The smell was so bad and the amount of waste they removed from underneath the bath was just disgusting.
The room itself was okay, extremely comfortable beds but it was very dusty. The light fixtures in the bathroom all dust on the back of there was dust on the shower rail. There was just all behind the TV on top of the lamp next to the television set. I did speak to the cleaner and asked her to go over it. She was very lovely. She apologised however upon returning to our room it hadn’t been done only the bin was emptied and coffee and tea had been replenished.
The barista in the café was lovely and very welcoming and as I’ve stated a lot of of the staff are amazing. I just felt that that one person really spoiled my birthday holiday.
Having said that I would recommend the hotel to people to stay in. We did enjoy our stay but I just feel that customer service should be the same with all staff members because majority of the staff are amazing there and are so polite and helpful.
