mSocial is a great hotel with an amazing view of Times Square. It’s especially convenient for first-time visitors because it’s surrounded by so many major NYC attractions, and everything feels very walkable. The facilities are modern, well maintained, and nicely designed. I also love how convenient everything is inside the hotel: the restaurant is right by the lobby (super easy to access), the bar area is spacious, and the layout is clearly organized to handle a high volume of guests — which is essential in one of the busiest areas of New York City. I’ve had a great time here with friends, and every visit has been consistently pleasant. The staff is always attentive and welcoming, and despite how much daily traffic the hotel gets, everything stays clean, practical, and comfortable. Highly recommended if you want a modern, well-run hotel in the heart of Times Square with great service and a fantastic location.

We were 2 families of 4 who stayed here the first weekend of Jan. 2 Rooms on the 26th floor. View was amazing in both room. Great location. Close to everything. Parking was a mess as the staff was not clear on where we had to park and New Yorkers honking to get out of the way when in front of the drop off spot in front of the hotel. Breakfast is overly expensive and didnt stay in to eat. Supper was okay. Not much options, I would have expected more seeing how it was an American style restaurant. Cesar our waiter was amazing!!! Full of life and a great end to our trip. The rooms... 2 families( 2 adults 2 kids) we had 2 rooms with 2 double beds. If booking to have a connecting room you need to book the room with the King Bed and sofabed. Double bed rooms arent side by side. Beds need to be updated. Not comfortable at all. And after a full day of walking and you want to relax, it wasn't so good for our backs. No extra pillows, no extra blankets for the price we pay your expecting those little things. Bathroom could be cleaner. The bathroom shower had residue from the soap and hair in the drain. The mirror had stains (looked like someone got too close with their mascara, haha) and no body soap in the shower. (We always bring our own in case so that wasn't a big issue.) Game room consists of a fooze ball table and a TV that you can play mariocart. Was expecting more. (Told the kids more haha) Over all it was a good stay. We were there to only sleep anyway. MSOCIAL THANK YOU!

Edward the manager was extremely rude. I went to check in and start my stay when he looked me up and down and said "you don't look like you can afford this". Mind you I paid in advance so that doesn't even make sense. I wanted to walk out right then, but I was really tired from my flight I just wanted to go to my room. Walk into my room and the bed was some what made, but looked like a dog or a toddler was rolling around in it. All of the sheets were disheveled and pillow was on the floor. Crumbs all over along with something red and sticky (candy)? Called the front desk to request new sheets and SURPRISE Edward picked up. After asking to send someone to bring fresh sheets, he said "what you have, are fresh sheets. I will not have ~the help~ bring you more new sheets as they are busy handling other guests with more serious requests". I ended up walking the hall to find housekeeping and this sweet older lady went off to get them for me. She was the only nice employee that I met during my shortened stay. I finally unpack and take a nap before going out to dinner with some friends. It was a bit of a late night, I didn't get back to my room until about 1am. Go to sleep and I wake up to the phone ringing. I look at the clock, it's 4am. It's the front desk. They called because I had apparently requested a wake up call. This was very false. They claim to have a phone recording of me requesting one. I asked to hear it and they said it wasn't possible (probably because it didn't happen). Whatever I go back to sleep. Around 8:30am I am woken up again, this time a loud banging at the door. It was some guy from the front desk (he wouldn't tell me his name). He said they had to check the room because there were complaints of a dog barking. Which is funny because I didn't arrive with a dog nor did a dog enter my room at any point. I let him search the room thinking it would be a quick sweep and he'll be done. Wrong. He finds a long obviously human hair and accuses me of bringing a dog in without telling anyone. I ask to see camera footage. Again, they can't do that. At this point I start packing and go to check out. I meet the guy that checked my room and told him I'm going to find another hotel to stay at. He gives me a dirty look and starts typing. He then tells me there's going to be a charge for having a dog in my room. I'm furious. After some back and forth (and with a threat with legal action since they can't provide proof) he took the charge off. Fast forward about a week later. I get an alert from my bank saying the hotel charged me $800. I find out, that's TWO dog fees and a smoking fee. I call and ask what this is about, especially since smoking was never discussed while I was there. They said there was a lot of dog hair in the room and seemed like two different kinds. The smoking fee was because they JUST got the report that someone was smoking in the room from 4am til 4:18. I call my bank to dispute the charge which was a breeze considering even the customer service rep has had multiple calls in the past about this particular hotel adding fees well beyond check out. Two weeks later I get a charge for $500. Yay, another smoking fee. At this point I'm fed up and just want this to end. I dispute the charge AGAIN. Then proceeded to lock my card and requested a new one. Never in my life have I had such a terrible experience such as this. AVOID AT ALL COST!

I had the worst experience with Edward, the front desk manager. He promised to cancel my booking but went back on his word and refused to assist me or contact me as promised. There was a complete lack of communication; he never called me back, which was very concerning. Additionally, he repeatedly referred to me as "sir," which felt disrespectful seeing as though I was born a woman AND NEVER APOLOGIZED. He also refused to give me the details to his superior and I asked several times! Lastly, the rooms were not worth the $600 a night, even during the holiday season. I hope management addresses these issues for the sake of future guests, they have just lost a repeat guest! I would never recommend this hotel. Who is allowed to refuse to give the details of their manager or the information to their corporate office? Edward?!
