I had a 4 night stay lined up starting tonight and I was so excited to be back in my hometown in a beautiful hotel in a cool location. My flight got cancelled a few hours ago and the airline has no alternative flights for over 24 hours. I called the Theta and told them what happened and was ready to pay for the first night at minimum. The Front Desk (Noel) and the manager could not have been kinder or more accommodating. They didn’t charge me anything. I didn’t even ask them to help me out and they canceled the charges after verifying my flight. In 2024 you don’t usually get this kind of service. I can’t wait to stay here in the near future. It’s nice to know that top notch places like this still exist.

The only add I would suggest is that the guys at the front door be a tad more friendly. Like…”have a good evening!” Or “enjoy your day!” But we never got anything. Having lived in NYC for several years, this should not be a big deal!
- HHHollyJan 6, 20243.0I will start by saying that the staff at this hotel are super friendly. We had excellent interactions with them! However, I feel like this hotel is not equipped to handle the number of customers they get. We requested an early check in but it could not be accommodated, which we understand. Check in was supposed to be at 3 and we were told we would be called when the room was ready. Since we heard nothing, we went to the hotel at 3:30 to check and received a call that our room was ready as we walked through the door. The room itself was nice and the beds were very comfortable. What was not comfortable was the fact that we could clearly hear conversations on both sides of the room. This would have been ok, if it didn’t continue well past midnight. If you are a light sleeper, you may want to avoid this hotel as the thinness of the walls will allow you to hear any conversation taking place. Would I stay here again? Personally, no. It also makes me wary of staying at or recommending a Kimpton to anyone.

The Citi rental bike return was right across the street for easy fast transpo. I got a heckuva deal with my free night certificate. Rooftop bar was not open yet when I was there but the hotel had that new construction smell. The room was good sized for NY. Would stay here again.
