Would’ve given this place 5 stars, but a staff member on our way out today was extremely disrespectful and rude. The gentleman at the front desk helped us checkout and we asked if we could leave our bags for a bit and he told us of course and to just place them along the wall next to the front desk. As we were placing our items down where he told us to put them, the woman working with him who was next to him yells at us asking where we were doing and that we couldn’t leave our things there (even though the her coworker next to her told us to put it there) and was completely disrespectful for no reason. She could’ve easily just asked us kindly that we couldn’t put our items there or asked us why in a kindly manner. The whole point of working in hospitality is to be hospitable, management needs to check with their staff, and reset standards and expectations or ownership needs to clean house with management if they can’t maintain standards. Clearly there’s an underlying issue there if a hotel of that quality can’t even break 4 stars on google. Will never give them my business again and highly recommend you take your business and stay elsewhere as well.

Clean, decent neighborhood with lots of food and coffee options around but loud neighborhood and there is a literal club in the middle of the building. It was a Wednesday and I could just hear it at 1 or so, not terrible but if you know this why make the choice to stay here when there are lots of similar quality hotels in the city. If you need to stay it’s not terrible it’s just not special.

The hotel boasts a prime location in the Lower East Side, offering convenient access to the subway. It is the closest hotel to renowned establishments such as Katz's Delicatessen and Russ & Daughters. Its proximity to numerous bars and exceptional restaurants makes it an ideal choice for both leisure and shopping. For those seeking a vibrant nightlife experience, the hotel features one of the area's most popular rooftop bars/clubs, Mr. Purple, which offers impressive views and an excellent selection of beverages. While the service was commendable, please note that a resort fee of $41 is applied. This fee includes a $10 credit for room service, a $10 credit for the in-room mini-bar, two 30-minute Citi Bike passes, and 100 minutes of international or local calls. A potential drawback to consider is the noise level on the 12th floor when the club or rooftop bar is operational. Guests sensitive to noise may prefer a lower floor. The hotel offers remarkable views, including sightlines of One World Trade Center and the Empire State Building. Parking in the vicinity is quite costly. We recommend utilizing services like SpotHero, where daily parking can be found for $30 within a 15-minute walk, or $50 for an 8-minute walk. Parking within a 1-minute walk can range from $70 to $100 per day. The hotel rooms were found to be clean and comfortable.

I gotta be real, how can you fail to put a mini-fridge OR microwave in your rooms, but manage to put in a sad, insulting little fridge and stock it with tiny snacks that are $8-$12 each, with only one space where guests can store their own food but be unable to heat it up? I’d rather actually be able to store and heat up my food than have your miserable little vending machine. Really took customer convenience out back and shot it in the head with this one.

We stayed at Hotel Indigo in New York for one night with our family after our flight was cancelled. Given the stressful circumstances and a sleepless night, we truly appreciated that our rooms were prepared earlier than the standard check-in time. Being able to access the rooms sooner, refresh ourselves, and rest was a big positive for us. The hotel lobby itself has an interesting and stylish design, which made a good first impression. The rooms we were given were clean, and we enjoyed a nice view from the 12th floor. We also want to mention the housekeeping staff we met in the corridor — they were friendly, smiling, and wished us a pleasant stay, which we really appreciated. One area that, in our opinion, could be improved is the check-in process. Both my husband and I work in the hospitality industry and are members of the IHG group, so we are familiar with service standards. Unfortunately, during check-in we felt a bit uncomfortable, almost as if we were intruding rather than being welcomed as guests. A warmer and more guest-oriented approach would make a significant difference. Additionally, clearer communication regarding the security deposit would be highly appreciated. We were not informed in advance that the deposit would be equivalent to the room rate, and in our case, with two rooms, the total deposit was doubled. Receiving this information upfront would help avoid confusion and make the check-in experience more transparent. Overall, our stay was comfortable and the hotel has many positive aspects, but improving the check-in experience and communication would elevate the overall guest experience even further.
