We were in town for a few nights and this hotel was perfect for our trip. The rooms were clean, and well stocked. Breakfast had a variety of options and it was great to have it included in the price. The parking garage is so close, and an easy walk. The discount for parking provided through the hotel is great. The front desk will stamp the back of your parking ticket before going to pick up your car to get the discount. The front desk can hold your bags on your check out day, and it was a super easy process. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The location was great for access to times square and the theater district, it is about a 10-15min walk to get to those areas. MSG and Penn Station are even closer. We felt the area was safe, and the street that it is on is quiet. Great to have the loading/unloading area in front of the hotel too. Elevators worked great and were quick. Avoid the prime breakfast times or else it will be hard to find a seat!

Our experience was excellent from start to finish. The service is among the best we have ever received at a hotel. Even before arrival, they responded very quickly to all my questions, which already made a great impression.
They receive packages free of charge (which is a big plus in New York) and also store luggage without any issues. We were allowed to do an early check-in (for a fee), but they provided us with credits to use within the hotel, which made it very worthwhile.
Every member of the staff — front desk, housekeeping, and managers — was consistently kind, attentive, and helpful.
The location is super central and very well connected, especially being close to Penn Station, which makes getting around the city extremely convenient.
The room size is very good for NYC standards and is very well equipped: a full kitchenette with stovetop, large refrigerator, and dishwasher; a comfortable closet; desk; and a sofa with table. The bathroom was excellent, especially the shower.
A great detail is that there is a replenishment cart on each floor where you can restock coffee capsules, tea, sugar, detergent, and other essentials. Additionally, there is always a coffee, tea, and water station available in the lobby throughout the day, which is very convenient when heading out or returning to the hotel.
Housekeeping is provided every other day, but you can request anything you need at reception without any problem.
Breakfast is also included, which is another big advantage in New York.
We would definitely stay here again.

I travel 7-8 months/year and stay in a ton of hotels. Don't often write reviews for them, but loved my stay here so much I felt obliged. Front desk staff was awesome: recognized my Hilton Honors status (I'm shocked by how many Hilton properties fail to do this simple thing), got me everything I asked for, and were very friendly. Lovely, big-for-NYC room that was cozy and quiet. Everything spotless clean and brand-new. Great location to explore NYC from, at a great price for NYC.
The room was spacious and well-equipped, with everything you might need, including a small kitchen, microwave, and a large refrigerator. There was even an ironing board and an iron, which was very convenient.
Breakfast was good and offered a nice variety: coffee, tea, milk, juice, fresh fruit, bagels, toast, eggs, cereals, and more. The staff was friendly and very efficient, especially Felix, who stood out for his excellent service during breakfast. The reception team and housekeeping staff were also consistently welcoming and helpful. The location is another big plus: close to the subway and within walking distance of many major tourist attractions.
The beds were a bit too soft, likely due to frequent use, and it might be time to consider replacing the mattresses. The TV in our room did not work. Although we reported this to reception, it was unfortunately not repaired during our stay. We didn’t have much time to watch TV anyway, but it would have been nice to catch a few minutes of US-American programming.
One aspect worth mentioning (though it is not directly related to the hotel itself) is that there were people struggling with drug use on the street right outside the hotel and around the corner on 8th Avenue. This is something other guests have also noted. Not sure if the hotel can do anything about it.

We just completed our 3rd stay at Homewood Suites Midtown Manhattan.
Pros: We really like the convenient location to Bryant Park, NYPL, Macy's, Penn Station...pretty much walkable to anywhere. We like this hotel because the rooms are nice size and have apartment size refrigerators in a small kitchenette. The hotel does have free breakfast, sometimes hit or miss on the hot items. They have what I consider strange choices sometimes, like chicken fajitas or corned beef hash. However, there is enough variety to get me out the door in the morning. This time, we had a room on the street side on the 21st floor. It was still fairly quiet, although we could hear the sirens. Rooms on the "alley" side are very quiet. We like that this hotel has self-serve washer and dryers, too. We were able to do a load of laundry for about $7 total. There are 3 elevators and all have been working each time we visited.
Cons: You may walk by homeless people, but it is not any worse than most places and they don't bother you. The other issue I have is with the hotel having representatives that stand near the door and want to talk you into visiting other locations and possibly doing what I would call a "timeshare" situation offering lots of Honors points for signing up. There is someone at the hotel everyday, all day doing this. I did feel the room we were in this time was not as well maintained as we had seen in the past. The shower door did not close all the way. There wasn't extra blankets in the room - I had to ask for one [but they were quick to deliver it].
My complaints are minor, and overall, I would still recommend this hotel.
