Seriously, they canceled my reservation under the false pretense of it being “fraudulent” and then refused to allow the second guest listed on the reservation to check in, even though the name matched exactly. The staff offered a vague explanation about why they “couldn’t” allow it, but it made no sense. If the hotel does not honor the policies established under IHG, that should be clearly stated in the reservation confirmation email. There are plenty of hotels in NYC. I regret using my rewards for this booking, especially, since the points expire tomorrow, meaning I can’t even use them for a future stay. Future guests should be aware of this kind of conduct before booking here.

The fire alarm emits a sharp blinking blue light and is positioned directly in front of the bed, which may be disruptive for light sleepers. While it’s commendable that the property supports people in need, since I am on a business trip and booked this hotel through our booking platform, I would have appreciated knowing in advance that the hotel also operates as a shelter.
