I accidentally booked a stay through a 3rd party website for the wrong dates and have spent hours over the course of the past two days trying to correct my reservation, so far unsuccessfully. The front desk hangs up reliably on every call. Everybody else directs me to the front desk. Kafkaesque. I have the option to cancel without a refund and re-book for the new dates, but if I really have to write off the full amount, I will most definitely not book at this property again.
Great stay in great location! Firstly the hotel is in the perfect location for tourists wishing to visit the sights of NYC within walking distance. Although the room was slightly dated it was exceptionally clean, larger than we expected for New York and being at the back of the building very quiet at night. You wouldn't know you were in Times Square! Reviews about the lift wait times are correct, they can be busy during their "rush hours" but the times to avoid are clearly detailed on posters and being on the 19th floor it wasnt too difficult to use the stairs to go down. Finally the service was absolutely fanstastic! We would like to thank Sheree for being so helpful and understanding when there was an issue with our booking on checking in. She made what could have been a stressful situation so much easier! Super friendly and a great sense of humour. Thanks Sheree ☺️ Would definitely recommend to anyone wishing to stay in the Times Square area of NYC! Clean, comfortable, no tourist tax and does what it says on the tin!

I ended up staying at this hotel unexpectedly due to an Amtrak electrical issue that shut down all trains, and I needed a room quickly. The check-in and check-out process was straightforward, and the location is very convenient, just about a 10-minute walk from the Amtrak station. I was on the 35th floor, which gave me impeccable views of the city.
That said, there were a few issues during my stay. First, the Wi-Fi was a challenge. The login information on the card was hard to read, and when I tried entering my last name and room number, it wouldn’t connect. I didn’t contact the front desk since I was only staying one night, but it was definitely frustrating.
Second, the bed was smaller than expected. It’s advertised as full or queen size, but at 5’9”, my feet were hanging off the end, so I had to sleep diagonally. It made for an awkward night, especially if you’re taller.
Lastly, the AC didn’t work properly. Only the fan functioned, and the room wouldn’t hold a cool temperature. I had to adjust it several times during the night, which was a major inconvenient.
Overall, I’d give this hotel four stars. For a one-night stay, it worked fine, but if I were staying longer, these issues would likely drop my rating to three stars. With some improvements to Wi-Fi, bed size, and AC, this could be an excellent spot for a short stay.
While the overall quality of the hotel may be acceptable, depending on its price and location, there are a few important concerns I feel compelled to address:
1. Room Assignment Not As Reserved
I booked a standard room with a king-sized bed and a city view. However, upon check-in, I was assigned a room on the second floor with only a limited street view, which did not match the “city view” description provided during booking. This was disappointing, especially since I had a confirmed reservation and even called the hotel one day prior to ensure I would receive the room I paid for, regardless of my late check-in time.
2. Bed Size Not As Reserved
The bed in my room did not seem to meet the standard dimensions of a king bed. My feet and ankles extended beyond the edge of the bed unless I really pressed up against the headboard. It was not even as long as my friend's full size bed, which can fit me very well.
3. Unprofessional Conduct by Security Staff
I had an unpleasant experience with the hotel’s security staff when I checked out. I requested to store my luggage for half a day and planned to retrieve it at midnight. The security guard claimed he would need to transfer my bag to a different room so I could pick it up at that time, and used this as a reason to ask for a tip. I complied at the time as if that was what you said, then it did add actual labor work to him (even though I only have a small travel handbag to be stored). But when I returned, the front desk was able to retrieve my bag from the same storage room! No special transfer was necessary at all. I felt misled and taken advantage of, which left a very negative impression.
Great Location & Solid Service (With One Transportation Hiccup)
The Location
This hotel is perfectly situated for anyone wanting to be in the heart of the action. It’s within easy walking distance of Madison Square Garden, Times Square, the Javits Center, and Penn Station. While the rooms are on the smaller side, that’s standard for NYC—the trade-off is the unbeatable convenience.
Room & Amenities
The hotel was notably clean, and the shower had excellent hot water, a huge plus after a day of walking the city. The lobby is compact, but the elevators were reliable with minimal wait times. We also appreciated the complimentary bag check after we checked out, which made our final day much easier.
Service & Transportation
The front desk staff was friendly and professional. However, we did encounter one discrepancy: the website advertised a $27 shuttle to JFK, but the staff informed us they no longer offer that service. They did offer to book a private car instead, but you may want to double-check transit options if you're counting on the shuttle price.
The Atmosphere
There is an interesting public "park" space right out front, though it was too cold for anyone to use during our stay.
