I've had to stay here twice now for work and both times were miserable experiences. The hotel is crawling with rude tourists from Europe who have zero consideration for other guests. Late into the night, 7am, they're slamming doors, running up and down the halls yelling and guffawing. And somehow Americans get the global bad rap for rudeness and loudness??
The free breakfast starts at 6:30am and they're already packed into the tiny dining area like sardines, have clearly been there for awhile annoying the staff who're trying to put the food out. Then once the lights are turned on signaling it's open they descend like locusts. Forming a line and taking turns apparently isn't a thing in Europe, nor is the concept of personal space. You will have people breathing down your neck, reaching across you, and bumping into you. Because they don't grasp the concept of lining up and approaching a buffet table from one side in an orderly fashion, they will be coming at you from both your left and your right. They won't even wait for you to finish using the juice dispenser, they will straight up muscle in on you. And then there're the "content creators" monopolizing time and space filming the spread as if Dannon yogurt cups and powdered egg omelets made with Kraft Singles is some exotic smorgasbord.
The rooms are clean but this is an economy hotel in Manhattan so obviously they're going to be small. The beds are rock hard. I get about three hours of sleep if I'm lucky. My company pays for the room but I'm going to refuse to stay here going forward even if it means paying out of pocket for other accommodations. I'm supposed to be on my A-game at work but can barely function after a night here.

This is my first time writing a review because I do not like when people take advantage.
I have called multiple times about getting a partial refund because we had booked a 2 bed and city view and we got a 1 bed on the first floor. We were charged the original booking + $50 deposit and haven’t even gotten the deposit back. I keep getting told they will check with their manager and nothing happens. Then that we did get the transaction the Sunday we left, and it wouldn’t show as refund but only a less charge, when my bank account still shows the original amount they charged, nothing less plus no deposit back at least! They said to check with my bank and there is nothing wrong with the bank, it’s them. Stop taking advantage of people that go to have a good time and have to leave with something like this, plus first floor was super noisy and at 6 am had cleaning crew talking super loud and didn’t let us sleep! They need to take more responsibility.

Location is strong—Hell's Kitchen area, easy walk to Times Square, Broadway theaters, restaurants, and subway lines (C/E at 50th St). Great for exploring Midtown without the absolute chaos.
Rooms were basic and small (typical NYC), clean enough but dated with thin walls and some wear. Bed was okay, but nothing special.
Service was meh—front desk was polite for check-in, but slow responses and felt understaffed.
Free hot breakfast was a decent perk (eggs, sausage, etc.), though crowded. Fine budget option for the price and spot, but not standout. 3 stars overall—location saves it.

I visited New York for sightseeing and booked this hotel, The room was located in the basement, and it was extremely cold with no heating at all. It was completely uncomfortable and I couldn't sleep. Fortunately, I only stayed for one night since I had another hotel booked, which was much better and more comfortable. I would not recommend this hotel due to the poor conditions and the unresolved deposit issue. Very disappointed.
