We recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn New York/West 35th Street for a family holiday, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
From the moment we arrived, Nicolas on reception and his team were absolutely amazing. They were warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. What really stood out was when our trip was unexpectedly extended due to the blizzard in New York. Nicolas and the team accommodated us seamlessly and took all the stress out of what could have been a very difficult situation. Nothing felt like too much trouble.
They truly made us feel right at home during a challenging time, which meant so much to us as a family. The service was professional yet personal, and it’s clear the team genuinely care about their guests.
We’re so grateful for the kindness and support we received and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting New York. Thank you again to Nicolas and the entire team for turning a stressful situation into such a positive experience — we won’t forget it!

A great place to stay in NYC. Its really close to times square, rockefeller building and many more tourist attractions. They do not have a parking there but you can find other parking spots nearby. Parking prices are crazy tho over $50/ night. Overall I would recommend staying at this hotel. Pretty clean, right behind the metro stations and most tourists attractions.

Location is convenient—Garment District on 35th St, right near Penn Station, Macy's, Herald Square, and easy subway access. About 10-15 min walk to Times Square and Midtown sights—good for train travelers or shopping without being overwhelmed by crowds.
Rooms were clean, comfy beds, good AC/fridge/microwave, and quiet. Solid size for NYC, modern enough, though nothing luxurious.
Service was excellent—super friendly staff, warm check-in, quick help with requests, and attentive throughout.
Free hot breakfast had decent variety (eggs, waffles, coffee—usually fresh). Great value and comfort—would stay again! 4 stars.

I normally do not leave reviews, but I felt it was important to share this experience because of Kim at the front desk.
Overall, my stay was good. The hotel itself was comfortable and my interactions with staff after check-in were genuinely pleasant and professional. Unfortunately, my very first interaction when I arrived left a lasting negative impression.
When I checked in on January 30, I was assisted by a front desk employee whose name tag read Kim. From the start, the interaction felt rushed and dismissive. When I did not immediately understand certain things, she made hand gestures at me to move faster rather than taking a moment to explain. She also didn’t bother to look at me while dismissively gesturing, which made it feel even worse. The overall tone felt impatient and unwelcoming, and I genuinely felt that she did not care how I felt in that moment whatsoever.
Maybe I could have been more prepared coming to the front desk with what she may have needed? Or said something differently? I’m not sure if she thought she could act that at towards me just because I’m younger? I’m just not sure. I was a bit tired after walking through the freezing cold for awhile to get there, but I don’t think any of my actions warranted her response and treatment of me.
I want to be clear that this is not about policy or procedure. It was about how I was treated. As a guest, regardless of age, I expect basic courtesy and respect. That first interaction was my introduction to the hotel, and it set a tone that lingered longer than it should have.
What stood out even more was how different this experience was compared to the rest of your staff, who were consistently kind, helpful, and professional throughout my stay. Because of that contrast, this interaction felt especially disappointing.
I am sharing this feedback with the hope that it helps ensure all guests feel welcomed and respected from the moment they arrive.
