This hotel is a good option if you’re looking for an affordable and clean place to stay in Times Square. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The front desk in manned 24 hours a day and the elevator requires a key to get upstairs. There’s a convenient grab and go market in the lobby and though it’s small, it’s well stocked with great options including full bottles of wine! The rooms are very small and ours was very dark. There was virtually no view other than the building next to us, but not you need a quiet place to rest, it’s perfect. The bedding is great, as expected from a Hilton. The room has a safe and a small fridge as well. Not very spacious but functional.

We had a really pleasant stay at Hilton Garden Inn New York Times Square North, and honestly… location, location, location Everything is within walking distance, which makes exploring NYC incredibly easy. You’re super close to the busy Times Square action, yet the hotel itself is surprisingly quiet at night, so sleep was absolutely perfect. The rooms are a bit on the smaller side compared to typical American hotel standards, but that didn’t bother us at all. We were out all day and only used the room for sleeping. It was very clean, and the beds were comfortable, which is what matters most after long NYC walks. A small downside: there were no bathroom amenities and not enough clothing hangers, so we ended up living a bit out of our suitcases. Not ideal, but manageable. The staff, however, truly made the difference, friendly, helpful, and professional. Special thanks to Samson, who literally went the extra mile, running into the middle of the street to stop our taxi when the driver was stuck. We didn’t try the hotel breakfast because there are so many great breakfast spots nearby, no need to limit yourself in New York. All in all, despite a few small details, I would still give this hotel 5 stars for its unbeatable location, cleanliness, comfort, and genuinely kind staff. Would definitely stay here again on our next NYC trip.

Have stayed here a few times. Location is fantastic to Times Square, Bryant Park, 5th Ave., Rockefeller Center, subways, etc. Front desk staff (David and Katina) are friendly, helpful and professional. Rooms are clean and Chazz Palmenteri, restaurant attached to hotel is excellent.

I rarely leave long reviews, but my experience at this Hilton deserves a full explanation — especially for anyone considering staying here. When we first arrived, the elevators were already a major issue. One elevator was completely out of service, and the only one running wasn’t stopping at floors consistently. We were on the 17th floor, and because of this, we had to take the stairs more than once. As a disabled veteran, this was not only inconvenient — it was a serious ADA violation and absolutely unsafe. No guest should have to deal with that, especially someone with mobility limitations. Unfortunately, things didn’t improve after that. The hallways were dirty, and the room itself was far from what you’d expect for the price. Housekeeping didn’t come until day two, and even then, all they did was make the bed. Trash, hair, and debris on the floors looked like they had been there long before we checked in. I actually had to request a broom so I could sweep the room myself — something I truly didn’t mind doing, but for a Hilton property at this price point, it should never be necessary. Towels were not replenished unless we specifically requested them. We also had to ask for someone to empty the trash and clean the bathroom. These are basic services that should be automatic. On top of all that, construction started at the crack of dawn, making it impossible to get proper rest. Between the elevator situation, the lack of cleanliness, and the noise, the whole stay felt more stressful than comfortable. The only positive I can mention is the complimentary water station, which was appreciated after all the walking and it was near time square. Overall, I’m giving this stay a 2 out of 5, and that’s honestly me being generous. I would not recommend this hotel until they address the elevator safety issues, improve their housekeeping standards, and communicate construction schedules better. Just being truthful.
