I stayed at this hotel in early December. I travelled to NYC by myself for a business trip. When I tried to check in to the hotel, the woman behind the desk told me that the name on my ID must match the name on the credit card I use to pay… and this was the first time I received this information from the hotel… as I was trying to check in. There was absolutely no mention of this anywhere on their website or in the reservation confirmation email I received. Despite having put my name and the credit card information in the online reservation, I still had to provide a physical credit card in person with a name that matched the name on my ID. I’ve never heard of this before. After an hour of going back-and-forth between the hotel management and my boss whose credit card I was using, I was finally able to use our company card, but I had to get my boss to sign documents saying that I am allowed to use that card. And then my boss had to forward those documents to the hotel and then the hotel had to send it to management to review and approve. And then once I got to my hotel room, there were three adults just standing in my room. I stood there completely speechless as there were two men and one woman in my hotel room that I just checked into. It turns out that the three people in my room were the managers of the hotel and then they later called me and said they would provide me with a discount for my inconvenience. The discount was $57 off of my $1500 total. The hotel itself was very clean and nice and is in a prime location, but the Issues I had with management and lack of care, urgency, and complete inconsideration is why I give it three stars.

Surprisingly loud - some bars below, vehicle traffic through the night, and thin walls. Cleaning service was just ok. Bed was reasonably comfy. Room doesn’t use window HVAC - great for one less source of noise - but unfortunately does not hold temperature particularly well. I stayed on the eighth floor. Higher floors may be substantially quieter.
All in all, there are better hotels if you’re a sensitive sleeper prioritizing a good night’s sleep.
