Stayed a block away at another hotel for about 100$ more (maybe a block difference). This is definitely a better value and gives free breakfast. The only real meh part is the rooms being small, but go figure it's NY. There is a corner store nearby, so that's nice as well. So far, so good, and they babysit your luggage if you arrive early from the airport! Be PREPARED to wait on the elevator during breakfast hours, though. People love free breakfast, so don't be surprised if you're standing there for 15 minutes waiting for an elevator that's not too full. If you're on the first 5 floors, get off your butt and take the stairs, one, because, REALLY... And two, you're making others wait on you being lazy, and you will probably be waiting anyway. If you're older, I feel for ya but you'll be waiting , but if you're not a senior citizen... ACT like you aren't and take the stairs TRUST ME.

Located on the outskirts of Time Square is this hidden gem. I won't lie, it's small. If you blink, you'll miss it walking by but I don't expect much more size-wise being as it's NYC. It's about a 10-15 minute walk from the main part of Time Square and 10 minute walk from Penn Station. Location could be better, but the staff makes up for it. You feel welcomed from the moment you walk through those doors until you leave. Everyone goes above and beyond, especially Jessica! She is a sweet heart and so personable. I ended up having to stay an extra night because of the blizzard and they made sure I got the best rate possible. I'm coming back in April and I look forward to that stay!

We booked two rooms from Saturday to Wednesday but checked out Sunday morning due to the conditions of the hotel. I will say the front desk staff during check‑in and check‑out were pleasant and easy to work with. Unfortunately, that was the highlight of the stay. The housekeeping staff was very unwelcoming—we were essentially pushed out of the lobby Sunday morning while simply trying to plan our day so they could sweep.
We arrived around 2:00 a.m., and it didn’t take long for both of us to realize this was a mistake. We typically stay a few blocks away and decided to try a different hotel this time, which we immediately regretted.
The room was not clean. There was a dark handprint on the curtain in the main room, clearly visible. The shower doors did not roll properly and were extremely difficult to open and close. At one point, I nearly became stuck in the shower and had to force my way out. Upon inspection, the rollers had loose screws, and it was obvious they had previously been reinstalled into newly drilled holes, indicating ongoing unresolved issues.
While my wife hung her toiletry bag on the towel rack—as one normally would—the towel rack snapped in half and fell. Additionally, the conditioner bottle was empty, and there was barely any shampoo or body wash provided. The towels themselves were exceptionally rough and worn.
The mattress was by far the worst part of the stay. I have never stayed at a hotel that presents itself as “nice” with such an unacceptable bed. I could feel every spring in the mattress the moment I laid down. By approximately 2:30 a.m., we had already decided we would be checking out in the morning and relocating to the Homewood Suites down the road—for nearly the same price and exponentially better quality.
The photos advertised online are not an accurate representation of the hotel’s current condition. I’ve stayed in budget motels that were cleaner, more comfortable, and better maintained. That this property is branded as a Hampton Inn—a Hilton hotel—is honestly shocking.
Save yourself the disappointment and stay somewhere else.
