I had a very good experience at this hotel. The location is excellent — very convenient and close to major attractions and public transportation, which made getting around New York City super easy.
The floor we stayed on seemed newly renovated and everything looked modern and clean. The only issue we had was a small problem with the heater in our room.
What really stood out was the service. The woman at the front desk who works the night shift was incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful. When we had the heater issue, she was very attentive and made sure to assist us right away. Her professionalism and positive attitude truly made a big difference in our stay.
There are a few areas that could be improved. The Wi-Fi was very weak and unreliable. The breakfast also had limited options, and all the utensils were plastic, which doesn’t feel very sustainable. It would be great to see more variety and eco-friendly alternatives in the future.
Overall, the excellent customer service, great location, and renovated rooms made it a great stay.

Stayed here for 5 nights in Midtown East and it was a solid, no-fuss choice — 4 stars overall and great value for the area.
The location is a winner (5 stars): at 231 E 43rd St, you're just a couple blocks from Grand Central Terminal (super easy subway access to everywhere — 4/5/6/7/S lines right there), close to the United Nations, Chrysler Building, and a short walk to Bryant Park, 5th Avenue, or even Times Square. Perfect for tourists or anyone using trains — tons of dining options nearby too, from delis to nicer spots.

As a Diamond member, this hotel fell far below my expectations for Hilton hotels.
When we first arrived in our room, the thermostat was set to 85 degrees and it was very uncomfortable. The next thing I noticed was a moldy smell. I am not sure where that was coming from. I’ve never been a fan of the sliding doors for bathrooms because it doesn’t offer enough privacy, but this one was unbelievable. The door was an inch too narrow and stuck out at least an inch. It didn’t offer any privacy at all. Finally, you might find a couple of good outlets in the room. I found out the hard way and found out in the morning that my phone didn’t charge. Nothing like trying to get around an unfamiliar city with a dead phone.
The front desk staff was excellent. I’m not really sure what the one lady was doing in the dining area, but eating and just standing there blocking everyone trying to get food isn’t the best place for you to be. You really need to get out of the way.
You can’t beat the location near Grand Central.
At the end of the day, the room served its purpose, but I spent way too many points here for a substandard stay. I won’t be staying here again.
