No muy limpio
The hotel is quite far from the downtown area, and you need to take a taxi to get there. I didn’t like the lighting in the hotel, as it felt too dim. The rooms are nice overall, but the lobby is relatively small.

Effortless Hospitality During the Holiday Rush
Hospitality can be demanding at the best of times, but during the holidays, it is especially challenging. Despite the seasonal rush, the entire staff at the Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown made excellence look effortless. From the moment we arrived, we were met with a warm, inviting atmosphere and a genuine eagerness to please.
Personalized service from start to finish! The experience began with Duran, the lead doorman, who handled our car and luggage with ease, whisking us inside to a delightful check-in. The reception team was incredibly personable—even noticing and complimenting my husband’s obscure basketball team cap—and surprised us with a complimentary upgrade from a Liberty Suite to an Oculus Suite. Vash from guest relations further elevated our stay by ensuring both our "two-legged kiddos" and our "four-legged kiddo" were spoiled with treats delivered right to the room.
Going above and beyond as the level of service here is truly proactive. One evening, after several Ubers canceled on us, a doorman noticed our frustration. Upon hearing we were headed to Little Italy, he immediately offered to drive us the ten minutes himself in the house car. It turned a stressful moment into a highlight of our trip.
The location is fantastic—situated away from the midtown "craziness" but still close to major attractions and easy subway access. While I didn’t make it to the spa, we loved the massive pool. Our suite was spacious and comfortable, featuring a primary bathroom that was downright cavernous. Some critics mention the decor is "muted," but we found the understated palette to be incredibly elegant.
A Note for Pet Owners For those traveling with dogs: housekeeping will not enter the room while a pet is unattended (for liability reasons). However, the staff made this seamless. I simply alerted the front desk when we returned, and a lovely housekeeper would arrive within minutes to work her magic while I took the dog for a walk.
I’ve read a few negative reviews, but after our stay, I find them completely unfounded. The price point at a Four Seasons is significant, but the rewards are equally so. To have a poor experience here says more about the guest than the hotel. Well done, Four Seasons Downtown!

While the hotel is located a bit away from the main Midtown bustle, we found the location ideal as there is so much to explore in the immediate area. The view from our room was also incredibly pleasant, offering a great perspective of the city.
We were able to visit the World Trade Center and its incredibly moving and informative museum, as well as Mercer Labs.
We also took a trip to the Statue of Liberty via Battery Park, which is just a short distance away, and of course, walked through Wall Street to see the Charging Bull.
For shopping and dining, the neighborhood has some great spots. We particularly enjoyed Eataly, where you can buy authentic Italian products or enjoy a delicious lunch on-site.
The hotel amenities are top-notch. The indoor pool is impressive, and having steam rooms located directly in the changing rooms was a real treat, perfect for relaxing after a cold, busy day of sightseeing.
A special mention goes to Assiya, who took wonderful care of us from A to Z. Her attention to detail made our stay even more memorable.
Another beautiful experience with Four Seasons.
We will be back!
