This place truly deserves a five-star rating. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the cleanliness, friendly staff, and professional service. The environment is very welcoming and comfortable, making it perfect for both quick visits and longer stays. What stood out the most was their attention to customer satisfaction — they genuinely care about their visitors. Everything was well-organized and handled efficiently. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for quality service and a pleasant experience. I will surely visit again in the future.

I wanted to take a moment to leave a truly glowing review for the concierge team at Equinox Hotel — specifically Edwin, Laurence, Iris, and James.
In all my experience working with high-end hotels and concierge teams, this group genuinely sets the standard. My clients are extremely demanding, and the requests are often last-minute, highly specific, and time-sensitive. Every single time, this team not only delivers — they elevate the experience.
They consistently go above and beyond, never drop the ball, and handle everything with a calm confidence that makes you instantly feel you’re in the best hands. What stands out most is their professionalism and attitude. They’re proactive, solution-oriented, and incredibly thoughtful. They anticipate needs, communicate clearly, and somehow make even the most complex logistics feel effortless.
Even under pressure, they remain gracious, positive, and completely reliable. It’s rare to find a team that operates at this level so consistently. They’ve made a real impact for me and for my clients, and they are a big reason I continue to trust and recommend Equinox Hotel so confidently.
Truly exceptional.

I agree with the people who have written that the price point doesn’t seem to match the hotel or service. Within 5 mins we had to have maintenance in the room for a TV problem
We left baggage with concierge and when we got it back, luggage was dirty and covered in white dust
We wanted a drink at the hotel bar and even after telling them we were staying at the hotel the lady at front desk of the bar told us we had to have either reserved or “first come first serve” area at the bar. The areas with reserved signs stayed empty the whole time we were there. Not one attempt to find somewhere for hotel guests to sit
Girl at swimming pool area more interested in her phone that maintaining the pool area/ life guarding plus weird spa layout and uneven floor.
Concierge not very helpful finding a restaurant for us
Breakfast not included in extortionate price

I had a great overall experience at this Equinox hotel and gym location. The hotel room was absolutely stunning - beautifully designed with great smart features. The shower was also excellent, and I appreciated the great selection of supplements available to purchase.
The gym itself is nice - clean, well equipped, and premium feeling. However, I was very disappointed with the outdoor saunas, as they didn’t get warm at all during my visit. I rely on sauna use as an important part of my post workout recovery, so this was a significant letdown.
Overall, it’s a beautiful, high-end facility, and I hope the sauna issue can be addressed to match the otherwise great experience!

I've enjoyed the Manadarin and Peninsula in the city, and I love Shangri-la Hotels - hundreds of nice hotels. I figured we'd check this high end hotel too and that the spa and such would be first rate. I didn't realize it's essentially a public meat market of a gym on a monthly membership. It's full of New Yorkers in plugged-in zombie gym mode and there was nothing relaxing about it. The spa was just like 12 young men standing around 'working' and was off putting. The men's locker room was sketchy with the sauna in there and guys looking a little too friendly with each other w no clothes on. So...the pool and spa were a complete no-go. Second, the sex toys in the rooms definitely were a signal this isn't a place you should bring kids - not a big deal tho. Third, the restaurant and bar are truly pathetic and you shouldn't get a drink there even if you're desperate. Third, the layout is annoying. You enter into a valet parking section where guys are goofing around then do one of those 2 phase elevators. Checkin on the 4th floor then do another set up to rooms, or back down to the spa. Even the spa/pool layout was weak. There should be the pool, sauna, hot tubs, and steam room and rinsing showers all in the same area so there's no 'funny business' going on in the lockers, and so the gym-goers are kept separate from the bathing suite goers. Oh wait there was no steam room, which is normally the best part. Electric Lemon is a painfully bad name. The rooms were nice aside for that. The hotel should be $400 per night, and then you should have the option to use the public gym and spa for an added charge of only like $75 for the day (more like $45 but it is NYC). I don't know what this $700 to $800 per night nonsense is - the value just isn't even close to there.
