- FLFrank LawJan 4, 20261.0Between my business partners and I, we spent over a week at the Equinox Hotel and roughly 50000 on rooms alone. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet expectations. When I initially arrived, the room I booked was changed and my view was downgraded due to a reported scent issue in the original room. While I understood the adjustment at the time, it set the tone for a stay that continued to fall short. In my room, the shower nozzle fell off multiple times, to the point where one night I could not take a shower at all. The bathtub was also clogged with hair and had to be serviced by maintenance. These issues occurred more than once. What made this more frustrating is that my partner and I were traveling with a two month old baby, and my business partner was traveling with a three month old. Basic room functionality like a working shower is not a minor inconvenience in that situation. Despite the repeated issues and multiple service visits, there was never any offer to acknowledge the inconvenience or provide compensation. I am not someone who typically complains or writes reviews, but given the price point and brand reputation, this was disappointing. My business partners and I stay here several times a year, but after this experience, we will not be returning.

Considering the room rates, I would have done a second gym, changing room and spa area only for hotel guests as they have too many members and for guests who are expecting to train or do spa time with a normal amount of people around, the place is really packed.
