Great Location, used airbnb to get room for about 120. I discovered why as one of the 2 elavators was out of comission. It has been that way for quiet some time from reliable sources. The elevator situation sucks for all people. The TV in the room only had reception from a cable network with showtime. It was definitely not HD. A better idea these days is put in a roku or similar device and ditch cable. You may be able to park a car nearby, but that doesnt make sense finacially. The need for using the subway makes it a 5 block walk in weather.
Chose this hotel for the kitchenette since we wanted to be able to make breakfast and cook meals.
The kitchen was fully equipped, cookingware in good condition and two of each serving item. Dishwasher was a great bonus, as well as the strong fan above the stove.
The queen size bed was comfy with good pillows, and the duvet highly appreciated. AC-unit heated the room satisfactory.
However, every night around midnight there was foot traffic to/from the Housekeeping room opposite of our door, and no consideration made on noise levels, which disrupted sleep.
The property has two elevators, one was out of service during the whole stay (6n), and the other broke down on our second evening which forced us to walk the 28 floors up due to the service window. It was fixed before morning. There are always waiting lines by the elevators.
The location is not the greatest since it is close to Port Authority Bus Terminal, but it is close to Broadway so that gives easy walking to shows. As well as close to the express bus to/from EWR.
Excellent place for someone on a budget. As an essential worker, I was stranded in Manhattan during the blizzard of Feb 2026. I was able to find this within my budget, and the room was roomy, had a FULL kitchen (which you don’t see many of that anymore, especially in Manhattan) and a little convenience section on the lobby to buy snacks and microwave food.
That said, there were only two issues, the first being one of the elevators was down casing a somewhat long wait for the other one (not more then 5 min) and the WiFi wouldn’t connect. Other than that, I still give this place 5 stars and definitely recommend it to other travelers!
Do not stay at this hotel—under any circumstances.
This isn’t just “bad service.” It’s a complete failure of basic operations and safety.
The entire property has only two elevators. One has been stuck on the 25th floor since I checked in—clearly a long-term breakdown, effectively out of service. Then at 10 PM tonight, the only remaining elevator also failed. The lobby on the first floor was packed with guests who couldn’t get upstairs. It was chaos, with no effective guidance, crowd control, or contingency plan. I ended up having to climb the stairs to the 23rd floor myself.
What’s even more unacceptable is the front desk response: their only “solution” was to call someone to fix it. At 10 PM, with both elevators down and a crowd of stranded guests, who exactly are you expecting to show up immediately? This isn’t bad luck—it’s management incompetence.
Let me be blunt: this hotel raises serious safety concerns. Elevators are critical infrastructure in a high-rise hotel. Leaving one elevator effectively dead for days, then allowing the remaining one to fail with no emergency plan, is not a guest-experience issue—it’s a risk management failure.
IHG should remove this property from its portfolio.
Bottom line: absolutely terrible—one of the worst hotels in New York. If you value your time, comfort, and safety, avoid it.

I’ll start by saying this hotel is a great location for being close to Times Square. And the view we had was amazing, and that is the only reason I gave it two stars. The room was fine space wise. It wasn’t small, but the bathroom was. The shower pressure was LOW, and the tub clogged continuously. So when we showered it was also a bath. There are two elevators, one which never worked while we stayed there, and the other stopped working the second morning. So we started our day with a 28 floor walk down. Luckily it was fixed (just the one) that night. With that many floors and one elevator, it was at least a 10 minute wait every time. The sheets seemed clean, but definitely had mold or mildew on them. All in all, the location was great but I’d NEVER stay there again.
