  This hotel was a good value for NYC. The rooms were clean, spacious for NYC, and the free breakfast was a great start to the day. The location around Canal Street made it a bit annoying to dodge counterfeit bag purveyors, but once you escape Canal you are close to Little Italy and Chinatown and SoHo. Unfortunately, the HVAC is centrally controlled and only offered heat, so we woke up in the middle of the night sweating. The windows did not open, so our only relief was keeping the shades open to get as much cold winter air to enter the room. We also turned the unit off and its temperature to the minimum (60 degrees), and that seemed to work ok. But if I was paying more for the room I would have been incredibly frustrated. If you're not sensitive to temperature and want a clean, spacious room in a great city, this is a great option.

  Um excelente hotel para quem busca localidade especial. O hotel fica muito próximo da canal street, então você consegue ter acesso as principais linhas facilmente. Também é muito próximo de little Italy e Chinatown. Outro ponto interessante é que você está a 30 minutos de praticamente tudo, o que facilita muito a logística dos passeios. O café da manhã é bom e o atendimento do hotel é sensacional também.

  This was a great hotel. They offered free breakfast every morning, even on Christmas. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is on the edge of Chinatown and SoHo. The rooms are a good size and offer in room bathrooms. You can open the windows if you want and there is air conditioning and heat in each room. It was a pretty nice location. Just got sick of people trying to sell you stuff on the street as you walked by.

  🇫🇷 nous avons passé 6 nuits Les + : - Chambres suffisamment spacieuses (environ 12m2) Très propre ( douche , sanitaire etc ) avec Petit frigo et Bonne Literie - petit dej correct - belle salle de sport - boisson à volonté à l’accueil (café , eau , thé) - emplacement à moins de 3 min des métro Petit - : La fenêtre était cassés ( elle fermait pas totalement) . Cependant cela ne nous a pas dérangé durant le séjour , le 5 e étage était assez haut pour ne pas être gêné par la rue . Le quartier n’est pas le plus jolie de Manhattan mais la proximité des métro est pratique Nous recommandons 👍🏼

  Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this hotel. There was clearly visible black mold in our room. We reported this to the front desk. The staff member’s response was that someone from the cleaning service could be sent to the room. I explained that cleaning does not solve a mold problem, as the underlying cause needs to be addressed. In addition, no cleaning staff came by that day anyway. The employee also said the issue would be passed on and that we would be contacted by a colleague regarding a room change. However, no one ever got back to us. Overall, it felt like our concern was not taken seriously at all. We then contacted Booking, through whom we had made the reservation. Fortunately, Booking responded promptly and accommodated us. This is the kind of response we would have expected from the hotel itself. Severe black mold is not a minor issue. The room smelled strongly of mold, the window could not be opened, and the ventilation could not be adjusted. Although the hotel’s location is excellent, due to this negative experience we would not stay at this hotel again, nor would we book with the Best Western chain in the future
