When I first checked in I have to say I wasn’t impressed, whoever checked me in was quite expressionless. But when I came back later, once my room was ready, I had a more delightful human and they had already brought my bags up to my room, which I appreciated. The room had a beautiful view and was just lovely. The staff service was ultimately really good and everyone was kind. The bed and shower were really nice as well and the location was perfect for my needs. So overall I highly recommend. I was also appreciative that it was really quiet, which is not always easy to come by in NYC! Thank you for an amazing stay, Arlo Nomad.

The rooms are tiny and worn out. For five consecutive nights, the TV in our room turned on at 2:00 AM, waking us up each time. I reported this issue three different times, and each time I was assured it would be fixed, but it never was. What made things worse was the hotel’s handling afterward. Despite the clear and repeated service failure, the hotel offered $120 in compensation (the bill was over 2300 USD) along with a “complimentary future stay,” (1 night within the course of a year) which does not address the loss of value during the stay I already paid for.

Arlo NoMad is one of those rare NYC hotels that just gets the traveling-salesperson grind. Every time I stay here, it feels like a home base instead of another generic stop on the road. The staff is honestly incredible—huge shoutout to Bre’a at the front desk. I was in a total pinch before a meeting, and despite helping a line of guests, she still took the time to go above and beyond to get me what I needed. That kind of service is everything when you’re living out of a backpack. The gym setup is another major win. Instead of the sad, micro “fitness centers” most hotels offer, Arlo partners with a real NYSC. Actual weights, real machines—game changer for keeping your routine on track. Sure, the rooms are small, but they’re clean, comfy, thoughtfully laid out, and honestly exactly what you need while you’re out here grinding. Arlo NoMad just hits different.

We stayed at Arlo Nomad for 5 nights and it was exactly what we needed for a busy New York trip. It’s very centrally located, on a relatively quiet street and the rooms are comfortable. Yes, some rooms are small but really you don’t spend much time in the room on a NYC trip, only to sleep, so it’s not so bad. Special shoutout to Jamilah, Lily and Journey! They were all so great and made sure our stay was extra comfortable!

This “hotel” is really more of a hostel 😂—don’t be fooled by the glowing fake reviews! Rooms are tiny—67 sq ft—barely enough space to walk around. Forget fitting two suitcases, let alone lounging. These rooms are only suitable for an overnight crash. The views? As others have said, far from what you’d expect. Ventilation is noisy, and the AC sounds like a jet engine taking off . When recorded it was 46 db. Need slippers? That’ll be $14 😅🤣. No iron, no ironing board—so business travelers, you’re out of luck. No cups or complimentary water either. My advice: skip it unless your only plan is a very short, “look-how-I-styled-in-NY” Instagram stopover.
