Honestly, the hotel is good and comfortable, and the location is great. The only issue I had -which isn't really minor- is that I never got the refund of my $150 deposit after a year of my stay there. I wrote emails and never got a response, and it's impossible to communicate with the hotel from abroad (I live in South America). It's a shame because it's not a little amount of money and this tainted greatly our experience, which was really lovely.

The service at this hotel is impeccable! The location is also at an ideal location.Unfortunately, the room; although clean, was too small for my daughter and I (especially the bathroom), so had no choice but to switch hotels. At first, the front desk tried to help by offering to change rooms, but it was not ideal. I was unsure if the hotel would refund the amount for the rest of the week, but they were very accommodating. Special shout out to Ruben, Rovina and the manager for being gracious and extremely helpful. If I’m ever traveling by myself where I can get the room to myself, I would stay here.

Trip was taken totally on impulse to use expiring travel credits with Southwest. I couldn't afford THE Hotel Chelsea so I booked the IHG 6th Avenue Chelsea Holiday Inn off the Southwest Hotels website. The accommodations were as advertised at what I consider a reasonable rate for NYC. Notably my trip coincided with the heavy snow in the region starting Saturday evening 2/21 and delaying my departure until Tuesday 2/24. Shoutout to the ever present Jandery M. at the front desk who was pleasant and supportive for my entire stay and even slept over in the Inn due to the bad weather to care for her guests. She should receive a large increase in pay at her next performance review!

Absolutely appreciate the kind and lovely staff here. Special thanks and shout out to Ruben who was amazingly patient and kind with my requests. I have lived in hotels in NYC for 6 years now and this one I would easily repeat. The double blinds completely blacked out the room and I was able to sleep in, not aware of what time it was. Love that. The bed was so comfy. Room was so nice and clean top to bottom. And the view, never better. I shopped for a good price and this weekend was a steal to top it off! Also honorable mention to the lovely Rovina. Thank you all staff at Holiday Inn Chelsea for amazing service and quality digs.

I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding my recent reservation during the severe snowstorm in New York City.
As you know, NYC received nearly a foot of snow, flights were canceled across the region, and a travel ban was put in place. Due to these government-imposed restrictions and widespread airline cancellations, it was impossible for me to travel to the city.
Despite these extraordinary circumstances — completely outside of my control — your team refused to issue a refund. I also experienced extremely poor customer service when calling. The representative was dismissive and rude, offering no reasonable solution or empathy given the emergency conditions.
This was not a voluntary cancellation. It was a force majeure situation involving a government travel ban and airport shutdowns. Refusing flexibility under these circumstances reflects very poorly on your customer care standards.
