This hotel is conveniently located to shopping as well restaurants and dining. The room was clean and very comfortable. My stay was excellent and that was as a result of the exceptional staff service received from Eugenia whose smile who was very knowledgeable and professional. She went over and beyond to assist me. Thank you Eugenia. I wd definitely return to the Holiday Inn.

Positive first, the staff were friendly and tried to make things work. However this is clearly an older property where things don’t work well. Check in took half hour plus since switching credit cards is difficult in the “old unhelpful system” (staff said that). Rooms were clean but air conditioning sounded like a plane taking off and constant elevator noise made getting a nights sleep impossible. Then before checking out I’m locked out of my room because the system doesn’t recognize daylight savings time change. They tried but for the price, definitely try somewhere else next time.

Horrible customer service and absolutely no flexibility for its nonrefundable policy even when it comes to acts of god and weather cancellations. My flight wasn't taking off from Chicago due to a massive freak early season snowstorm and somehow this hotel thinks I should've been able to control the situation and still make it to check in. I get to pay a $583 penalty for mother nature. And I'm sure they'll just go ahead and rebook the room and make double. Do better - with government shutdowns and climate change you need flexibility for customers.

Amazing location, cannot be beaten! As others have mentioned the rooms aren’t the biggest but that’s to be expected. If I had one complaint it would mainly be the inconsistency of the cleaning/bed making (we would see people going round in the morning but wouldn’t have our room done until 5-6pm). The staff however were amazing, especially the people on the front desk. We had a lovely check in experience with Eugenia and Jonathan who were so friendly and gave us some amazing tips on what we could head out and see. We were always greeted by whoever was on each day when we would come back in the evening and had some lovely chats with various people (didn’t catch all their names). Would definitely recommend and thank you again to the lovely staff!

A good place to base yourself when visiting NYC. 10-15 minutes walk to Madison Square Gardens and Macy's and 25 minutes to Times Square. Flatiron is 5-10 minutes walk away and a nice area. Some lovely thrift clothing shops opposite. Subways nearby. Hotel itself was OK. It's a bit dated in the rooms and around the building. Reception tries to feel fresh and clean. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Nice little gym room with free-weights, and bench, running machine, cross training, and cycle machine. Enough to keep you ticking over while on vacation. Cleaner was brilliant. Room cleaned every day for the 5 nights we stayed. Rooms could probably do with a bit of updating but otherwise pretty good. Being from England, it would be great to of had a kettle to boil water for tea (I hate coffee) as there's only a small coffee pod machine in the room. Nice touch on arrival with snack bag given to each of us. Not sure if that's because we are IHG members. Wifi very good. Would use again.
