If I could give zero stars, I would. I’ve never left a review of a hotel while still staying there. This place is awful. I cannot believe Hilton would allow there name to be associated with a place like this.
Parking is awful. I know you can’t always help that, but be aware.
The rooms are nasty. There is mildew in the shower, patched holes in the walls, the couch is broken and has stains and tears all over it, and the two tables are about to fall apart.
The hallways have trash throughout them and look like they get vacuumed once a month at most.
The front desk workers are polite, but very unprofessional. We walked by a few times and they were eating full meals at the front desk, leaning back with their feet on the counter, and reminded me more of fast food employees rather than a HGI staff.
My son and I wanted to go down to the lobby and get drinks from the pantry, but couldn’t get anywhere near it. There was a private birthday party with at least 75 people there. They took over the entire lobby area and the restaurant/bar. We had to push our way through to get outside. They have a DJ setup with music blasting through the lobby and halls. I would think this should be setup in one of the ballroom/conference rooms, so everyone else can use the common area facilities.
It’s currently 10:30 at night and there are 2 large dogs running up and down the hallways, barking g and yelping. I opened the door to see what was going on and one jumped on me. This isn’t HGI-like, this is EconoLodge bull crap.
I was a Diamond member for years, until I switched to Marriott properties. I spent many, many nights in Hampton Inns and Hilton Garden Inns. If this is what has happened to Hilton in the past few years, I’ll stay with Marriott and IHG as a backup.
If you’re considering this hotel, find somewhere else to stay.
Pleasant staff, well kept rooms and great pool area. Charging for breakfast seemed a little cheap of them…also, $4 for a bottle of soda? Really? Would stay again, but I’ll bring my own soda and eat breakfast out.

I have stayed at the Hilton quite a few times and I must say that the customer service is immaculate! Merissa And Kevin are fantastic! Merissa it’s absolutely Amazing with a smile on her face greeting customers And make him sure that they feel welcomedI have witnessed this coming in and out of the hotel! There are two other ladies that work the front desk I can’t remember their names, but everyone there is very friendly and helpful. You’re always greeted with a smile! The staff at the Hilton go above and beyond to make sure that my stay is as sufficient as possible! I made a mistake and booked a room a week in advance, thinking that I was booking it for the week that I came in and the manager Jason cleared everything for me told me no worries and booked my room for the same price that it was for the following week! So I must say that everyone that works at the Hilton in Nanuet are kind wonderful and appreciative of their customers, especially myself thank you guys for always making my stay enjoyable!

Review: A Disappointing Stay - Far Below Hilton Standards
Rating: ★☆☆☆☆
I am a Hilton Diamond member and stayed over 85 nights at Hilton properties last year alone. I can say without exaggeration that this is the worst Hilton property I have visited in at least five years.
The lack of basic maintenance at this location is unacceptable. During my stay, I encountered a laundry list of issues that suggest a total disregard for guest safety and comfort:
Room Condition: The toilet handle was broken, and the window shades were literally falling down.
Safety Concerns: Most alarmingly, there was a plastic bag over the smoke detector, and several electrical outlets were taped off and inoperable.
Functionality: Because the outlets next to the bed were taped off, there was no way to use the bedside lighting, leaving the room dark and difficult to navigate.
Cleanliness: Despite being a non-smoking room, the space reeked of stale cigarette smoke.
As a loyal Diamond member, I expect a certain level of consistency and quality from the Hilton brand. This property failed on every count. It feels neglected and poorly managed. I will not be returning to this location, and I strongly recommend fellow travelers—especially those who value their Hilton Honors benefits—look elsewhere in the area.

The worst Hilton I’ve ever stayed in. Shabby, smelly bathroom, awful food (really awful, plus very little selection at the bar). Frayed worn carpets, sagging chair seats, just a really sad run down place. Does Hilton know how this location hurts their Garden Inn brand ?
