Hot coffee only available from 6-10am and 7-11am , unfortunate for night shifters. When there was finally coffee, there was no sugar and Front Desk associate acted insulted for even being asked for any.
Rooms were clean and bed was very soft! Housekeeper was more than helpful. Front Desk associate could definitely learn kindness from the Housekeepers ❤️

Booked a room for an unexpected death in the family. When we arrived a little earlier than expected we stopped in to see if we could check in early. And the receptionist I believe her name was rose was incredibly rude… so rude that we ended up going to a different hotel completely. Do not recommend at all.

The room was really nice, and the pool, gym, and hot tub areas were all beautiful. The hotel itself is honestly really well done.
A few things did bother me though. I really wish the pool opened earlier — a morning swim would’ve been nice. Also had a really bad experience at the pool one night. At 9:28, a maintenance guy came over and said the pool was closing. We were already getting our towels and walking out, and he just shut the lights off and left with no warning. I was there with young kids, and the pool area has no gate, so it was honestly dangerous. We had to use our phone flashlights to see where we were walking. It was super abrupt and unnecessary he could’ve at least waited until we were fully out.
As for breakfast, I get that it was clearly advertised as not included, so I understand that still not a fan of paying extra, but that’s not really the main issue.
The Wi-Fi, though, was ridiculous. Wi-Fi is a basic amenity in any hotel, and this was unacceptable. The connection dropped constantly, every few seconds, and it was impossible to rely on. Super frustrating and honestly not okay in 2026.

Double DON'T.
It was yiiiick.
Had originally booked for 4 nights but had a family emergency so only stayed for the first and last night. On the first night, the bathtub was dripping (and I could hear it in my room,) as well, the shower turned on when you ran the bath. The fridge was wobbly, barely cold, and had a puddle of water in it. The hallways smelled musty and the whole room was dingy. You could see right into my room from the gym.
I mentioned the plumbing issues the first night and, after questioning whether I knew how to use the bathtub/shower, they said they'd fix it. but...
When I came back 2 nights later:
- The coffee cup I'd left out was still there, now with mold (and they did not offer to clean it/take it out of the room)
- A weird little piece of electronic/wire was left on the nightstand that wasn't mine
- None of the coffee or tea had been replenished
- There was a bobby pin on the floor (also not mine)
And:
- The same plumbing issues were there, not fixed (although they confirmed that the issue had been reported/logged.)
- Even thought the hotel was "fully booked" so they couldn't move me...
- There was no maintenance staff there that night to fix it
Checking out, there was no milk for coffee, and even though they called for more, after waiting 10 minutes, it hadn't arrived, so I left. (On the first morning the coffee cup lids they had were the wrong size.)
And today, there's an additional charge for $96 on my credit card that they can't account for, and after waiting for 20 minutes on the phone, they asked ME to call back, the following day, to speak with the manager, and.... i did that but no-one has returned the call. It's nuts.
NOT at all what I'd expect from a HIlton, NOT FOUR STAR worthy, and most certainly not worth the money I paid.
All around, consistent indifference and incompetence.
Don't stay here, For sure.
P.S. Their reply below is an accurate reflection of the lack of care and attention they paid.
- The milk for coffee I'd requested in the lobby was at 7:30 AM (well before any post-breakfast timing they blamed it on.)
- The water was still dripping and the faucets misfunctioning, days later
- And there's no reason to leave an open hotel, to-go-cup, of coffee out for two. days. visibly moldy
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE... like come on.
Blargh.
:(
P.P.S. Six days later, the extra charge still remains on my credit card, and I have called them, yet again.

Edit: took off 1 ☆ becuase the breakfast buffet is permanently closed, which was not indicated on the website (still shows the Wake-up DoubleTree Breakfast in the Solaris Cafe as an available option). They redirect you to the bar/banquet room for [grumpy/unkind] table service. Not a fun surprise or added expense (comes out to way more than the buffet price for the exact same buffet quality food). Tempted to drop this place to 3 stars but food is not the main draw here so that would be unfair. Read my original review with a grain of salt
We're so puzzled by all the negative reviews(in terms of room + pool quality/condition)! This place has been a family favorite for the past 5 years: probably 12 visits total. My wife has decades of experience as a hotel manager in midtown MNH so she tends to harshly scrutinize the quality of the places we stay in and even she loves this place. Maybe we're given the better rooms as Hilton Honors members (?) but the rest of our experiences here are no different what we observe others receiving. ALWAYS friendly service at the front desk, ALWAYS tasty complimentary cookies, ALWAYS clean + tidy rooms, and ALWAYS a great value! Not an exaggeration. My kids have been enjoying the heated pool for years and now at 11 + 13 years still look forward to staying here. One time they didn't have enough pool towels and one time there was a treadmill out of service...that's it. In 12 visits just 2 tiny issues that were quickly resolved. Some of the rooms have weird shower heads that shoot needles at your skin but always good water pressure. Can't imagine any other criticisms of this place. I guess some people just like to complain 🤷♂️
