  As an overview: I am currently visiting Best Western Monticello after surviving a house fire while visiting Monticello, NY. As such, the accommodations are greatly appreciated as a courtesy from American Red Cross. While the building and amenities leave much to be desired, the customer service is above average! During the last two nights I have had the pleasure of learning more about Shaun, Amber, and especially, Joline F. During my visit I spent the most time with Joline F., who was impeccable! She went above and beyond her job duties by assisting with carrying items to my room, arranging housekeeping after I thought our rooms had been forgotten, and even provided great conversation during her downtime. Joline F. was a pleasure to work with and I would request her service during future visits. Not to mention, Joline F. is popular on Facebook as she was not hesitant to participate in my live recording as I gave her praise for a job-well done. Shaun is the nightly worker who also prepares breakfast for visiting residents. Shaun is friendly, resourceful, and respectful. I was able to hold an in-depth conversation with Shaun regarding American government and necessary changes to state policy. Shaun was open to hearing differing opinions and kept the conversation interesting while remaining professional. I would highly recommend Shaun to future residents at Best Western. Lastly, Shaun laughed at my love of BACON and ensured me there would be plenty of bacon as the menu alternates between sausage links and bacon during a resident's stay at Best Western. Amber, whom my heart bleeds for, was equally as amazing! Amber is sincere and professional. She provided resources for both monetary and material resources since she was aware the group was recovering from the previous night's house fire. My heartfelt sentiments are with Amber as I watched her tear up listening to the story of my Mother's untimely death after battling with cancer. Amber is a great listener and remained professional at all times. While her professionalism continuously shined through she reminded me it is okay to be human and for that time spent is a grateful investment. More indepth details below! Best Western is located at 16 Raceway Road in Monticello, NY, as a 3-star, 62-room hotel in the Catskills featuring an indoor pool, sauna, and free breakfast.

  Good motel. Parking is fine. The sink is not in the bathroom but in the room. Ita true for all the rooms. I did not like it. You wake up others if you use the bathroom at night. Otherwise its ok. Breakfast is ok too. Pool is fine and gym is fine as well.

  There were two front desk ladies ( One Black (Cat) and one White (Forgot name unfortunately). These two ladies mad the stay worth the price. Delightful number one, I forgot your name but you were superb. Delightful number two, Cat was a gem. God bless you both. They made my Autistic Son feel at home. I’m Tonya Polycarpe and I bid you adieu. Back to Florida we go.

  Great Staff, Great Value! ​We ended up here after an unexpected rebooking, and we were so impressed! Yes, the property is a little older and could use some updates, but it is spotless—super clean. More importantly, the staff is phenomenal. ​From the moment Kat checked us in and made my family feel like VIPs, to the housekeeping team who helped us at breakfast, the service was nonstop. Even the young woman at the front desk on check-out went out of her way to ensure we felt at home (I sadly forgot her name!). With an incredibly low price to match, this hotel is a real gem because of its people.

  Definitely needs to be updated, furniture worn, old bathrooms, funny smell to sheets, updates definitely needed. Staff is exceptional, TV good, breakfast and location good.
