My wife and I recently stayed for one night in one of the Forest Queen Cottages - and our only regret is not staying longer! We (unfortunately) picked a weekend of rainy weather, which definitely hampered our ability to enjoy the grounds. That being said, just walking around and seeing the many amenities usually offered - it definitely lives up to the hype. Perhaps we'll splurge, come back, and stay more than a single night (definitely when the River Pavilion is open).
The staff is super friendly, the cabins are immaculately maintained, and you can't beat the view. The only thing not offered that I'd love to see is Room Service.
Also, my wife and I both enjoyed just being able to text the hotel staff. It really makes it easy to send requests and get answers to simple questions.
I highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in the Hudson Valley! As a Marist Alum, this might end up being my go to spot whenever we come back to visit campus.

I knew from the pictures that the Space looked very pretty, but it was just as it was advertised beautiful location, clean and excellent cabins right on the water spectacular view! Service was impeccable. The water pressure could be better, but I say that almost everywhere I go ha ha. I was only there for two evenings, but I would definitely return. I highly recommend it. It really is a relaxing and beautiful getaway. The trail is amazing to take a nice walk or bike ride. The fire pits are great. The sauna looking out on the Hudson is also spectacular. We were planning on driving to all the surrounding towns, Woodstock Rhinebeck, etc. but we wound up spending all three days in Kingston unbelievable food scene going on up there adorable stores, and tons of history. Another bonus that I wasn't planning on ......all in all, I'm glad we decided to go and again I will definitely return. We also had a few farms on the way back to New York to get some great produce flowers, etc. really good trip.

This hotel had the potential to be a wonderful city escape from NY, but the reality was FAR from it. The website sold an upscale oasis with a resort filled with activities and food options nearby, when in reality, 2/3 of the hotel was essentially a deserted, half finished, trailer park. Our room cost 300 USD/night, and its exterior was 75% missing (see picture). The « resort » was also severely understaffed - and while the staff was super attentive and responsive, we only saw two people (on the 150 acres) the entire weekend, and only at the main hotel and reception desk, with not ONE staff member near the « cabins » where we stayed. The cabin area had no street/path lighting and was completely separated from the main hotel, meaning we had to use our phone flash lights to find our way back to our room every night. To give you an idea of how isolated we were, at 3 AM on our second night, we were awoken by an extremely loud alarm. The staff, when notified the next day, had no idea. In addition, the hotel had essentially no activities running, meaning that there was nothing to do onsite; even more, to eat, we had to either call for a golf cart, walk the 15 minutes in the dark back to the main hotel (where everything was severely overpriced), or pay for an uber into the downtown, where it was also slim pickings. For this price, this is unacceptable. Run, don’t walk (away).
Nice property, but be aware of hidden fees.
I was charged a $75 “facility fee” after checkout that was not clearly disclosed upfront, despite the stay being advertised as “all inclusive.” The charge only appeared after I had already left.
I was also billed $15 for snacks I never consumed (including soda and sugary items I don’t use). These charges were only explained after I reached out, and the snack fee was eventually refunded.
Overall, the lack of transparency around post-stay charges made this a frustrating experience. I would recommend confirming all fees in writing before booking.

My wife and I had fabulous getaway. We were welcomed with friendliness and professionalism. The room was quaint, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, with every detail taken care of to make the stay relaxing. We really enjoyed the non media environment and loved playing vinyl on the old school record players.
The amenities were excellent, and everything was well-maintained and easy to access. My wife loved the heated floors in the cabin bathrooms! We especially appreciated the quiet atmosphere and the attention to guest comfort—it really made a difference. We took a nice hike down to Sojourner Truth State Park.
What stood out most was the exceptional service and food from executive chef Ed Harder. We were shuttled to and from our cabin via text messaging. Very convenient. Thank you for the brief respite.
