Great location in Kingston. I have stayed here a few times previously, always had a good experience. This time, complete opposite. Besides the FD agent who checked me in on NYE (he was great and the only employee who understands hospitality) my entire experience was terrible. Besides feeling unsafe and in an old run down room with stains and broken furniture, I was also charged for an extra night, which I was told was a “hold” and would drop off. Nope, they charged me for a second room and want to play phone tag to even speak to me about it. Unprofessional, not safe or clean, breakfast is now an additional charge, which is a bad business move but ok. I selected a rate that included breakfast, and as i was getting coffee, i was chased after and yelled at for not having a ticket. Had to waste 10 minutes of my morning clearing up my 5 cent cheap coffee. NEVER again! The pool was out of service also, as were all the vending machines. The F/D agent said i could get a free complimentary 6oz cup of water from the lobby water fountain and bring back to my room. What a luxury amenity! This place has gone from a solid 3 star hotel to a 1.

I’m extremely disappointed and I can’t believe how disgusting this place is!!! The amount of money you pay to stay here is not worth it. The breakfast isn’t free!!! I found blood on a wall that wasn’t cleaned from God knows what… this Hotel is literally a nightmare It’s scary. I wouldn’t even walk out of my room at night It’s a horror movie.. Over $1000 To stay here for three nights & BREAKFAST ISNT FREE? The prices to stay here is insane, considering the condition of this place.. save your money and your time because it’s not worth a penny. The vending machines don’t even work. I was sooo grossed out!!! Everything is so dark, which is pretty weird this place reminds me of a haunted hotel And a scam artist definitely owns this…

Had to stay here because of a severe snowstorm. They had more customers than usual, which I understand, but the service was a little rude regardless. The room was clean overall. While the hotel is dated, it’s charming. Very family friendly if pool/arcade/gym is your thing. However we weren’t able to make coffee in the morning because the Keurig was visibly dirty (pictured).

Room - 1st Room had a very loud heating/ac unit. Had to change rooms. Room cleanliness was OK. Just OK Service was good, front desk and staff were nice and helpful. The reason for the 1 Star is - they charge for everything even the coffee. I won't be back based on that. I looked at the breakfast. They should pay me to eat it. I made a coffee and threw it out once asked to pay for it. That's pretty insane to charge for even the coffee.

I’m really disappointed to write this, because we stayed here last year and actually had a nice experience. Unfortunately, something has seriously changed since then — and not for the better. First issue: the “free breakfast.” When we booked, it clearly said breakfast was included. When we checked in, there was a sign stating the buffet was no longer free and guests must now pay $17 per person. This was never disclosed during booking. When I asked the front desk, I was told another hotel had been “sending their guests over for free breakfast,” which honestly sounded more like an excuse than a real reason. Second issue: the hallways. To get to our room, we had to walk through dark, dingy corridors that felt abandoned. Even my two young grandsons were frightened — it felt like walking through a haunted maze. Not welcoming at all. Third issue: our first room. When we arrived at the door, our key card didn’t work — this was a brand-new card we had just received. Thankfully two housekeepers were nearby and helped us, though they had to rub and re-scan the card several times just to get the door to open. Inside the room, things were worse: • No basic items like cups, soap, or amenities • Hardly any towels • Dark, outdated, and uninviting appearance • And the worst part: a spot of what looked like blood on the bedding, which my grandson noticed right away. That was unacceptable, so my husband went to the front desk and requested a different room. Fourth issue: the second room. We were moved closer to the pool and arcade area where we stayed last year. This room was an improvement, but still not great. My grandson pointed out that his blanket had multiple holes in it. Again — not the level of quality you expect from a hotel. Fifth issue: the noise. For two nights straight, guests — kids and adults — were running up and down the hallway for hours, screaming, stomping, banging on walls, and crying. It went on until nearly midnight. My husband tried calling the front desk, but no one answered the phone at all, so he had to physically walk down there to complain at 11:40 p.m. After everything we experienced, it was clear: We will never stay here again. It’s really unfortunate because the location itself is good, but the hotel has gone downhill dramatically since last year. If they don’t address these issues, I’m sure many more guests will choose to stay elsewhere.
