We were going on our honeymoon and were flying from JFK Monday November 10. We are from Western MA and did not want to stress getting to the airport, let alone trying to figure out parking, so we found this doubletree that offers parking and pretty cheap nightly rates. Our flight was 0800, and then with the shutdown situation, we were very glad to have booked a room months in advance.
On the day of check in we arrived Sunday November 9, to a very full lobby, stemming from all of the canceled flights form the shutdown, i was a Hilton rewards member and had a pretty seemless check in, even with all of the craziness in the lobby. I was able to check in, and valet the car pretty easily. The staff was great, very kind, and gave us cookies.
We were able to leave the car the entire week, and the valet attendant was very easy to work with and i trusted them to leave my car. There were absolutely no issues when we returned in getting our var back. We requested pickup Once we got on the airport shuttle and it was ready out front when we pulled up to the hotel.
The rooms were spacious and fit the bill for what we needed.
The 24 hour shuttle was awesome, and was shuttling to the airport every 30 mintues. It was so easy to use. And upon returning to JFK on our return trip, we just called the hotel and the shuttle came to the pickup area about 10 mintues later.
Overall our stay at the Doubletree was awesome, and made our honeymoon trip much more stress free and was worth every penny. I would highly recommend if you are flyng out of JFK to save yourself the trouble, stay the night, and have a stress free shuttle ride to the terminal

Firstly, I’m a 20+ yr Diamond Member and have pretty much seen it all when it comes to Hilton properties. This hotel needs more shuttle drivers as the shuttles are almost always late and ends up being packed with tired travelers who have waited too long for a shuttle. The saving grace of this hotel is Latoya. She is smart and on-the-ball when it comes to making sure the Hilton Honors guests are taken care of. If you have issues or concerns that seem to fall on indifferent or deaf ears, ask for Latoya. She knows what she’s doing and she’s good at her job. I look for her whenever I stay at this property. Cheers and safe travels.

Amazing stay. I accidentally left my work tablet in the room and the staff was able to retrieve it for me. I want to give a special thanks to Jovanni! She was amazing in helping coordinate things with me in order to get it back. She was very polite and even called back to check and make sure I retrieved my item. Great customer service honestly. The shuttle drive was also amazing. Breakfast was nice too.

The mattress is extremely uncomfortable, probably very old. I woke up with a terrible back pain.
Also location is not walking distance from airport, you need minim 20$ taxi.
Besides that, I had a terrible experience with the lost&found. I wrote and called several times to help me finding a solution with the lost&found since I could not schedule a pick up device because FedEx etc are not picking it up from that location. After many calls, emails and chat, I decided to pass by the hotel taking a taxi on the way back from airport. I called and asked please to keep it at reception since I would come late in the night. They even wrote me aknowledge and everything is fine, I did all the way to the hotel…and obviously they didn’t keep it apart. Then I had to call again and write so many emails. And I decided to go back again during working hours. And the housekeeper was super angry with me, when it was clearly her fault to not pick up the phone or answer my emails.

Pros: Fairly clean and comfortable, close to the airport, free shuttle
Cons: Old building with rooms that show their age, noisy inside and out (sirens, planes, next door room guests—you hear it all), slow shuttle (other hotel shuttles came twice in the time we were waiting for ours), and the real kicker, no bag or luggage storage (we had a late flight with nowhere to drop our bags once checked out). When we asked if there was somewhere to leave our bags the front desk was no help and acted like this was not a common request. If you’re not going to offer a service onsite like most full-service hotels then at least be ready with recommendations for where guests can store their items for a fee. Truly mind-boggling for a Hilton airport hotel in the country’s largest city!
