You’ll find us off Route 21 in the heart of the Maple City. We are just a mile from St. James Hospital and just a 10-minute drive from Alfred State College and Alfred University. A variety of shops and restaurants are right next door. Enjoy free breakfast and WiFi as well as access to our 24-hour fitness center and indoor heated pool.
Front desk agent at check-in was great as well as the night time agent. The front desk manager however? Rude. Came banging on our door 30 min after we checked in to remind us only guests staying in the room could swim (I work in travel - I know this). Shook her head very annoyed when I advised we were there to celebrate my daughter's birthday (8 - nothing wild). Made sure to stomp back to the desk just to return with a waiver for me to sign for the pool? Plus, made sure to reiterate that if we got a noise complaint - she'd have to ask us to leave. But at 9pm there was a bingo league or something crazy happening down past the pool. Sounded like 2 dozen adults literally screaming (but our 3 8 year olds were an issue...)
The chlorine in the pool was off the CHARTS. The kids all ended up with what looked like chemical burns in their arms and legs after swimming for a out 20-30 min. We had to make them all shower immediately upon returning to the room.
I specifically paid extra to have a suite with a pullout sofa to accommodate our party. 1030pm we are settling down for the night, go to set up the sofa - there's a printed note stating "do not use - see front desk for roll away". Again the desk agent was amazing, but how am I supposed to fit 2x children on a single roll away? More than 1 wasn't permitted per fire code. So we ended up with 3 kids in a single bed sleeping. I should have just booked a standard 2Q room and saved myself the $.
Also happy to note the breakfast attendant was AMAZING. He was super attentive, kind and helpful. Always smiling.
Also worth noting for being a brand new built hotel our room had massive stains on the carpet (looked like mustard) and missing drywall around the AC/heat vent. The breeze from outside was so bad we put a rolled up towel in front of it, which FROZE to the wall overnight (it was very cold outside).
We will for sure never stay again, unfortunately, because this is such a fun place to have a kiddos birthday sleep over (especially in the winter).

This hotel is nothing but rude thieves, showed up was told the rooms were oversold. I needed to drive 45 minutes to an offbrand hotel and since I did not accept their offer. they charged me for a no-show when they were the no-shows. I have never received an apology once and weeks later still trying to get my money back. I guess at this point we’ll just let the credit card people handle it. Check your bills closely, absolutely dishonest company!

It was our second or third time staying and the place and employees are wonderful and very helpful! Great room, breakfast and situated next to what we needed for our short stay. The only odd thing was that that the pool temperature was freezing! Previous stays it was fine and warm. The very nice front desk lady said they keep it at 80 but it wasn’t the 2 days we were there. I wish someone would have been sent to check it when I mentioned it. Would like to be back soon but I would hope that little issue could be fixed. Thanks!

My kids and I love staying at this hotel when we visit family in town. The pet friendly rooms are nice and the breakfast and pool are definite bonuses! The staff is always accommodating and James, in particular, go above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. 🙂
