The room was disappointing considering it was a “suite”. Staff was super friendly but getting sheets and pillows took 4- years 4 requests. The restaurant food is horrible for the price. We stayed 3 days ate there once and went into town the other times to eat. The food was so much better and cheaper off site.

Great to visit with kids - ours love it and get super excited as we pull in (boys, ages 5 and 8). Hotel isn't really worth it - day trip it if you can. Yearlong passes are worth it if you are close enough to visit more than once a year.

Front line staff are very helpful and responsive. Management was dismissive of issues. The hallway and our room had a very unpleasant mold and mildew smell that needed immediate attention but nothing was done. Activities at hotel were lame at best…coloring, pre school level games, etc…several families left in middle of activities. You can pay $15 to have a 30 minute class with a master builder….save your money!! The Lego project was a $5 Lego and not engaging session. Basically, hotel is a low budget hotel at a premium price. The free breakfast was good but very limited. And did I mention you pay for parking per day with a hotel stay?? Bar was overpriced $14 for a draft beer and the store inside the hotel charged me for 4 items when I actually bought 3. I should have checked my receipt more carefully.

We had a very disappointing experience at LEGOLAND New York Resort.
Reservation #592995779 – Pirate Premium Guestroom (March 30–31, 2026). We checked in at 10:00 AM and fully understood that rooms might not be ready until later. However, LEGOLAND Hotel clearly states a 4:00 PM check-in time. When we returned at 4:28 PM—already past that promised time—we were told our room was still not ready.
What made the situation unacceptable was not the delay itself, but the way it was handled. The front desk staff member (Rachel) was chewing gum and spoke in a dismissive and unprofessional manner. When we politely asked for a manager, there was a noticeable delay before she came out, and it felt as though there was reluctance to address the situation. During this time, we were handed fast-track passes in a condescending way, as if that would resolve the issue.
After a long wait, the manager (Kat) arrived and was even more dismissive. When we asked why there was no apology despite the delay, she responded: “You’re free to complain… we were only 30 minutes late, so there’s nothing to apologize for.”
Additionally, a white family who checked in around the same time had already received their room, while we were still waiting. While I understand room assignments can vary, the contrast in both timing and treatment was difficult to ignore and left us uncomfortable.
Delays can happen, but professionalism and basic courtesy should not be optional—especially from management. This experience fell far below expectations.
