We stayed at this Spark recently and while our stay was fine, my experience was less than desirable. I lost a small tracker card in our room. Of course no one ever found it, so we stopped by on another trip to see if my phone app could locate it. The woman at the front desk was the most uncooperative and unpleasant person we have ever dealt with in "hospitality." My phone app showed the card was in the room where we stayed, so she insisted on going down alone to look for it herself. Of course she didn't find it. In my husband's polite request that I be allowed to take my phone down in hopes the app would make the device sound, she accused my husband of verbally attacking her. She reluctantly consented to one person being allowed to accompany her to the room. Of course it wasn't lying in plain sight and the battery was too drained to make a sound. She refused to allow me to touch anything, and repeatedly insisted, at the same time admitting she "wasn't strong enough to lift up the mattress," that she had "moved the bed as well as the desk" and had not found it. The inconsistency is obvious, along with the hateful and antagonistic attitude. I was forced to leave without my device, which was in the room somewhere. Do yourself a favor and try another of the several hotels at the same exit.

This was by far the most disappointing hotel experience I’ve had. The room itself was fine, with the exception of the long black hairs I kept finding everywhere (not mine) and the fact that there is no conditioner in the shower. It’s not that the conditioner was empty, it simply was not provided. The young ma at the front desk didn’t acknowledge us at any point as we walked past the front desk. Obviously whatever he was watching on his cell phone was more important than customer service. The coffee was lukewarm and their “breakfast” was a choice of bagel, cereal or hard boiled egg. We found a Starbucks just down the street. We will not stay here again. Other hotels in the area- choose wisely.

Despite other reviews, I approached this hotel with an open mind. The sample size was small I thought. Let me give it a shot. The issue was not the service. The person at the front desk was helpful and friendly. The issue was not cleanliness of the room. It looks brand new. The floors hallway smells a bit off but for the price I thought I could ignore it.
The two things that made me rate this a 1. First it’s very loud. It’s next the a 6 or 8 lane highway. You can hear the cars outside very very clearly.
Second, the individual ac/ heat units in the room do not work. They cannot be adjusted. The noise would have been able to be drowned out a bit if the HVAC could be turned on. But it couldn’t.
So if you don’t mind HVAC being unadjustable (the room was a little warm for me but I run hot. It is November). And if you are a city person used to cars outside (or bring your own white noise machine with you when you travel to drown out the sound of a 6 lane highway, then this place is fine.
