  Very expensive for very little benefits, we arrived there and service was very ehhh, the rooms where nice and the beds where comfy, but as a person that travels a lot and stays at many hotels something i look for is for my rooms to come with the breakfast included; the breakfast time is from 7am-9am and i went down around 7:31am and there was not a lot of options available at that, so i asked the staff if they could make more and they had replied to me saying “we are limited to how much food we make to one bag per day of the sausage and one batch per day of eggs. i was shocked and disappointed at Best Western Plus for them to charge me a high Price close to around $200 per night and for them to have some ridiculous policy about one per day. i recently stayed at a Best western and it beat my Expectations and when i come to the so called “Plus Version” i get hit with hotel policy’s

  Called to reserve so I could get a first floor room. The guy was new and repeated everything i said including my cc info. I did ask if he was new and said he was and advised him he shouldn't repeat people personal info. We arrived the next day. The guy checking us in was very rude. Never said welome, never went over any pool info or breakfast. He gave us the key I noticed it was the third floor, I said I requested a first floor whe I called yesterday ( thats why I call so I can get a first floor) he was weel it s not in your notes and thats what the computer just gives us a room number. I said I need a first floor. He was so inconvenience by this. But I did get one. Then when I asked for a second key. Well we dont give those unless asked. We had to go back to the desk 4 times to get the key activated. Everytime he would activated one card it would inactive the other. The room wasn't bad. Pillows on bed to small and tv did not have much choices. Outside the lobby over filled garbage bin flower pots being used as cigarette ashtray. And snow removal not great. I would be very cautious on staying here. It can be a great hotel with better training and caring management. I fo not enjoy leaving bad reviews. I am sure management will response with their comments. All I can say is train your team and take care of your hotel. I would not recommend here till they do! So unfortunate

  DISGUSTING! MANAGEMENT IS DISRESPECTFUL! I had to DRAIN my own bathtub because it was broken the owner yelled at me for requesting a partial refund due to the issue the room was disgusting! I would NEVER do business here again new ownership from the previous yrs have destroyed this place! Would’ve had better results at a damn motel. Now the owner is blowing up my phone yelling at me because I’m leaving a bad review! Just over all the biggest disappointment of a business! Feel so bad for the employees that tried to help but were failed by their boss/Owner.

  My girlfriend and I were in the Cortland area for a baby shower in Freeville, as we live almost 3 hours away (Schenectady area), and staying overnight was a no-brainer since driving almost 200 miles one way was enough for anyone to be tired; so in preparations for our trip, I went on hotels.com to book a 1 night stay at the Best Western Plus Finger Lakes hotel. After checking out and heading home, here’s what I have to say: Checking into the hotel was relatively easy, but noticed issues with the staff lacking professionalism from the start. The check-in clerk was wearing a SUNY Cortland T shirt, with a durag; if he wasn’t sitting at the front desk, we could have mistaken from for a patron, let alone hotel staff. He was nice, but not very hospitable. Didn’t tell us much about the hotel, where the elevators were, we practically were on our own at that point. You’d think working at a BW they would be in company-branded apparel, and be more hospitable, but apparently not here. It’s sad really. The room itself was reasonably clean, we didn’t see anything concerning like prior posts on here about the rooms; everything worked. AC was good but needed a dusting, toilet worked, shower was OK, but the TV we had: the remote had issues, and it was hard to navigate. But for one night; whatever. I did notice that the elevators are slower than molasses in an igloo, that was evident as mentioned in prior reviews. Checking out this morning is where I had the issue; we were barely greeted by a man with a cap and glasses on, “I can help you check out”. Asked for our key cards, didn’t ask for how the stay was, barely said two words to us, and rudely pushed a receipt in my face; not thanking me for the stay, and had the hospitality skills of a potato. My girlfriend noticed, “boy he was peachy.” I went “I’ll never stay here again” and walked out. This place is good for a one night stay in passing or two nights max, but I wouldn’t stay longer. It’s clean, it works I guess, but don’t expect helpful staff here. You can find more courteous staff in a graveyard. Pass.
