Fletcher the concierge at the Lakehouse made our girls trip special by setting up a wonderful wine tasting with comfortable transportation provided for the entire day. Fletcher was communicative and always available if we had questions about the schedule of events or changing our itinerary if needed. I personally recommend working with Fletcher if you decide to spend time at the Lakehouse!
John, our driver, was lovely and flexible with timing and made sure snacks and water were accessible in the van throughout the day.
I recommend the Brussel sprouts at the Rose Tavern. Anders was a great waiter, and you might be lucky enough to hear a bit of opera from him.
All around a great experience even in frigid temps! Can’t wait to see the team again

Beautiful hotel and location but not much to do in winter considering prices. $38 resort fee per day and the only thing that probably covered was the complimentary glass of wine upon arrival and small bottle of maple syrup on departure. Too cold to use outside hot tub. Will not return.

We absolutely loved our two-day stay at the Lake House. The hotel and grounds are beautifully decorated and well-maintained; it is upscale but comfortable. Our room was gorgeous and immaculate. The view of the lake from our balcony was stunning. The pool and hot tub were very nice, even in the winter. The library with a fireplace and games are a lovely touch. The staff was friendly and professional. By the end of our stay, I was ready to move in.
My only criticism would be the restaurant prices. We had breakfast and dinner at the Rose Tavern. Although the food was good, it was not worth the outrageous prices. We paid $75 for breakfast for two people which consisted of eggs, toast, bacon and coffee. It was a basic breakfast and certainly not worth anywhere near that price.
We would absolutely stay at the hotel again and although it is more convenient to eat on-site, next time we will go down the street for meals.

Short getaway for my husband and I but we had a great time. Loved the sauna barrel experience. Staff were all very polite and attentive. The place was very clean and comfortable. Loved the robes and how normal it was to wear around there (everyone was doing it). It was very relaxing.

We got married at The Lake House on Canandaigua, and it was truly one of the best decisions we made. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional.
The property itself is stunning, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed. The food was outstanding, the vibes were immaculate, and every single interaction we had felt intentional and warm. From valet to the chefs to the service staff, everyone was genuinely kind, professional, and invested in making the experience special.
A huge reason our wedding was so seamless and joyful was Jojo. She was an absolute asset throughout the entire planning process. Professional, organized, calm under pressure, and somehow also felt like our best friend through it all. She went above and beyond at every step and made us feel supported, heard, and genuinely cared for.
There is a reason The Lake House is consistently voted one of the best lake resorts in the country, and in our experience, it comes down to the people. The level of care, pride, and hospitality here is rare.
We couldn’t recommend The Lake House on Canandaigua more highly, whether for a wedding, a weekend getaway, or a special celebration.
