Just spent a week at the WV and it exceeded our expectations. When you spend a week working from a hotel you need space and good service. The rooms (and bed) are very confortable and large, the bathroom and amenities were lush, Lavazza coffee machine w plenty of pods didn’t cost extra. And the reception and cleaning staff were always helpful.
Only caveat: the hip music in the front patio outside running all day, also runs all night… and you hear it even in the 12th floor. Make sure you have ear plugs!
Also tried the Italian restaurant: bravo. And the rooftop bar: amazing view.
And the gym: great.
All in all 5 stars.
We recently stayed in 3 hotels in one week during our Spring Break holiday with the family. The William Vale was by far the best! Breathtaking views and excellent, personable service. Do note that if you have teenagers, the rooftop restaurant, which we were looking forward to eating at, is 21+. Regardless, since the hotel is in the middle of absolutely everything, we found an awesome restaurant in Williamsburg instantly. You can't ask for a better location! Highly recommended and we'll certainly be back.

It’s like the good, the bad the ugly of hotel stays.
Bahhh bam boughhhh. . .
Feel conflicted giving this review but here goes. Beautiful property and location. However — There was an event being held one of the evening stayed in hotel. It created a bad time, could not get a table at roof table bar at all due to event. Plus tons of people coming + going from hotel that made elevators too busy.
Good - overall physical location + room.
Bad - service. Room service was lacking severely few options. Berries were sour Inedible.
Ugly - indifference with staff. No one followed up or cared.
Overall it was a kind of average experience luxury.
Despite the gym looking really nice online it was super insufficient dumbbells only up to 40lb and a bunch of useless stuff. And when I just called the front desk it went to voicemail? Have never had that happen in any hotel I’ve ever stayed in, 2 star to 5 star. Crazy. Great location though however I will not stay again and would not recommend.
Editing review to 1 star after maid barged into my room at 8am while I was asleep on the last day. Hope they can run a tighter ship here cause location is excellent.

This review is specifically for the sauna and hot tub experience at The William Vale.
Signage for the William Vale was clear and easy to follow, making arrival smooth. The bathroom facilities were spotless and felt truly luxurious. The sauna was perfectly hot and incredibly relaxing, and although the changing room was compact, it was thoughtfully stocked with cozy towels, plush robes, and comfortable slippers—everything I needed.
The overall space was clean and well-designed, with enough distance between the hot tubs and saunas to create a sense of privacy. It never felt crowded or distracting, and the ambient music added to the calming atmosphere. The 90-minute session was just the right amount of time to soak, unwind, chat, and fully relax.
The staff struck a great balance—they were attentive without being intrusive, consistently polite, and did an excellent job explaining everything we needed to know, including directions for retrieving our complimentary beverage.
Since there was a private event at Little Fino, I headed upstairs to Westlight for a Hot Toddy. The drink was delicious, the bartender was friendly and clearly skilled, and the views and overall vibe at Westlight are truly top-tier.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would absolutely return.
