  I was taking my kids for a trip and we chose Hotel Indigo as I am an IHG member. Unfortunately, my husband was admitted to the neuro ICU a few days prior to my trip (they found 2 tumors in his brain). I initiated the cancellation via telephone prior to the deadline. I was treated rudely. After going through the third party through which I booked (Expedia), I was told the hotel refused to refund my $427 or offer a credit to rebook. I cannot afford to eat this cost. And I sincerely don’t know how I am going to deal with this added stress.

  Spent our anniversary that the hotel Indigo Williamsburg last weekend and we absolutely loved it!

  The hotel itself is great my room was spacious and had plenty of natural light, which made the stay very comfortable. However, there were a couple of downsides. The shower pressure was quite low, which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, my interactions with the front desk were not very positive; the staff came across as uninterested and somewhat unwelcoming. Overall, a nice property, but service and a few amenities could be improved.

  Great location, high toilet (great for my knees), the food was good at the main restaurant (when they would pick up… it was a bit challenging getting through to place an order), loved the room set up. The bed is another story… hard as a rock. 3 nights on it and my body was sore.

  ‼️ Don’t stay here. ‼️. During the absolute coldest stretch of winter, their hot water was not working in the hotel, yet they did not disclose this to guests during check-in. This is deceptive and frankly boggles the mind, especially since hot water is a necessity for public health and basic comfort. I’m seeing their responses to guests saying things like “we appreciate your feedback and we will make our management team aware.”… GIVE ME A BREAK! It is simply common decency and respect to your customers to make them aware of an issue Such as this that has a major impact on their stay. hotel management should have known better,yet they withheld information from guests during check-in. I am actively losing faith IHG as a brand because it is clear they do not care about the customer experience. EDIT: and let’s all look at the very generic response from IHG below. They have clearly lost their way when it comes to customer service
