Horrible experience staying here. Incredibly loud at night with music pumping into my room until 12AM from other bars. Then, was woken up at 4AM by my neighbors blasting music + smoking weed on their balcony.
The William Vale offered me nothing to remedy the experience I had other than "we can give you earplugs". What a joke. Responding in that way is inconsistent with a property that advertises a "5-star" rating.
Other than that, found the staff to be relatively cold and unhelpful. This is the first google review I've ever written people!! That should tell you everything you need to know about this hotel.
We recently had our wedding at The William Vale, and it was truly unforgettable. The hotel and event spaces are absolutely stunning. The views alone make it such a special place, but what really made the difference for us was working with Victoria.
From start to finish, Victoria helped bring our wedding dreams to life. We planned everything in a short amount of time, and she was patient, kind, and completely invested in making it perfect for us. Her advice and recommendations made the entire process feel seamless and manageable. She was a huge reason we chose The William Vale, and we are so grateful for her.
The wedding day itself was beautiful. Our guests are still talking about the venue and the atmosphere. We also received so many compliments on the food (shoutout to Chef!). Everything was exceptional and thoughtfully prepared. The bartenders and servers were attentive and kept everything flowing effortlessly. Our guests felt genuinely taken care of all night.
The entire hotel staff was equally welcoming and accommodating. Having all of our events on site and our guests staying at the hotel made the whole weekend feel easy and cohesive. We would choose The William Vale all over again without hesitation and cannot recommend it highly enough.
The service here is utterly abysmal. They hate needing to talk to you. They did not lift a finger to try and accommodate anything at all. Room service is very slow. Food is extremely bland with no care.
There was no welcome in, there wasn't a pleasantry to spare and in general the staff are extremely pompous and unhelpful. Ask for anything, it will take them half an hour to send it up. You will get a decent room but that's it. Recommended to spend a little more and get something that will treat you as a person, nevermind a valued guest. I regret coming here.
No late check-in due to availability
No late check out
Can store bags but if you don’t have your bag original bag tag, they won’t check another coat or bag for you
Showers get scalding
TV does have all apps to stream but oddly very low in brightness where we checked twice if there was a way to change it but it was locked
Internet is slow. Both my partner and I had disconnected from internet during our morning calls to the point of us hopping on our personal hot spot
Fridges are full of drinks so no room to store anything without removing
Had to wait for elevators since only 2 operate for the guests in all the rooms
Elevator occasionally malfunctions & won’t go to the lobby
Will throw away anything if things are left behind. We checked out at 11am & called back at 11:40am to ask for a bag left behind with a brand new book, clothes, 4 cans of beer, and food. Was told everything gets tossed

We stayed at The William Vale for 3 nights, and there’s no denying that it’s a beautiful hotel with an incredible view of Manhattan. The room was stylish, the neighborhood was nice, and the skyline views were definitely the highlight of the stay.
However, I was disappointed by several unexpected and poorly explained fees. After pre-paying $788 for the stay, I learned there was also a $45 per day destination fee, which was never clearly communicated ahead of time. Hidden or surprise fees really take away from what should feel like a premium experience.
Breakfast was supposed to be included, but we weren’t told that we had to call to order. Instead, we used the QR code in the room (which seemed like the normal option) and were then charged $90 for breakfast the first morning. When we asked about it, we weren’t offered an apology just told the correct procedure. That response felt dismissive, especially since the process wasn’t clearly explained.
Overall, the hotel itself is lovely and the views are amazing, but the lack of transparency around fees and dining instructions was off putting.
